I guess it depends on your situation.

Are you looking to go half a shade to a shade lighter? Do you have just surface dark spots and discoloration? If this is you, then give the lemon juice treatment a try, it might be all you need.

But if you want to go a couple shades lighter or more and or your hyperpigmentation is difficult, like mine, you need a more powerful treatment.

The lightening treatments I found below combined whitening agents from many natural sources in the RIGHT way. There's a real science behind the recipe and that's what makes it so effective.

Between you and me, I didn't think it would work. I think I only tried because it was so easy to do. But in just a week, I was amazed how much lighter skin was. I ditched my lemon juice treatment after the first week.

Does Lemon Juice Lighten Skin..Or Is There A Better Way?

Yes! The Natural Mask That Finally Gave Me Light, Pretty Skin I Love

natural skin lighteningCall me crazy, but if you're asking, does lemon juice lighten skin, aren't you just looking for a natural lightening treatment that really works?

Do you have really stubborn dark spots? Or need a good remedy for scars from acne?

Or are you just looking for something stronger that will help you get results fast?

Personally, the lightening recipes below made the biggest difference in my skin. From what I've read, here's why they work so well.

Did you know that there are natural ingredients that you may already have in your fridge right now that have powerful whitening effects? They are just as effective as expensive creams but without all the side effects.

You might already know that papaya has a natural enzyme called papain that speeds skin renewal. I did too. I even made some papaya masks on my own but never got any results.

Want to know the secret to getting lighter skin you absolutely love? Having the RIGHT recipe.

It makes sense when you think about it. Skin care companies create their products in a lab with precise measurements and conditions to be effective. But most skin lightening recipes you find on the internet don't consider how the individual ingredients react with each other. There's no real science behind the recipe, and that's what will make all the difference for you this time.

Natural ingredients react with each other just like chemical compounds. Too much of one can actually decrease the potency of another. So knowing exactly how to combine them so they work well can be tricky.

I found this amazing papaya mask recipe here. I followed the recipe exactly and two weeks later, I tossed my foundation. Seriously, one day you'll be looking in the mirror and realize you don't need it.

Wanna know how to get that papaya mask recipe to work twice as fast?

If your darkskin will the lemons make you lighter ? Yes, about half a shade to a shade. Hello. May I ask, is it effective on pimple marks and some little holes (the pimples that I pricked), please let me know as soon as possible or you can email me at kiitty.srose@gmail.com

Great information. Thanks Lemon juice mixed with a facial scrub works well on acne scars (hyperpigmentation) if you're consistent with it. I'd alternate days with the lemon facial scrub and the papaya mask in my lens above. Take 1,000 mg of vitamin C daily and drink lots of water. For faster results, include a microdermabrasion facial with either a dermatologist or licensed skin specialist once a month. The microdermabrasion facial will improve your skin texture and really help to minimize "those little holes". Don't worry, if you stick with it, it will get better. Do you have to apply both moisturizer and sunscreen at once or can you just use one?? I like to apply a moisturizing sunscreen to make it a one step process. But If you're only going to use one, a sunscreen with at least SPF 30 is a must. I have sensitive skin so I was wondering if this is safe? Lemon is fine for sensitive skin, but start slow. Add just a small amount of lemon juice into your cleanser and do this three times a week. If your skin is tolerating this well, increase it to every other day. Applying sunscreen AND moisturizer is really important for you. On your off days, use a mask of chamomile tea brewed and cooled with a dab of honey mixed in to calm and moisturize your skin. I just squeezed the lemon and applied it on my face and it started to burn. So I washed it. Is it supposed to burn ? I have a lot of dark spots left behind by pimples and new pimples coming out almost everyday !!! Help Hi...using lemon is very safe and won't burn as long as you always mix it with cleanser ( please see my instructions the lens above). I recommend you use a mixture of aloe and vitamin e oil to calm your skin for about a week before you try again. Lemon works great on acne scars you should see good results in time.
