Does The Secret Really Work?

There are many different viewpoints on whether the Secret really does work so it's no wonder most people are confused to whether it's just another sales gimmick or whether this really does hold the key to vast riches and how to receive your inner most desires.

The trouble that I have found with The Secret is that it makes it sound simple. Change your thoughts, believe you have received your desires and you will receive it shortly. It isn't quite as straightforward as that, as most people are finding out when they "try" to apply The Secret to their lives.

For the Secret to work, every single little detail in your life must be inline with your desires and reinforced positive beliefs that you can in fact be, do, have anything you desire!

The trouble for most people is that their life isn't idyllic and that their moods, behaviour and actions are usually an unconscious reflection of where they are, who they are with and what's going on around them which is something they struggle with changing and controlling on a consistent basis.

For the Secret to really work you need to constantly monitor your thoughts and make sure they are in alignment with your desires. If not you need to either change your thoughts to be in alignment and may even have to change other aspects of your life as well.

For example if you want to attract greater wealth you need to get rid of all the thoughts of "once I have money I will do x, y & z" because you should be believing and acting as if you have money now. As they say, tomorrow never comes!

Also take a look around you, what changes would you make to your surroundings if your desires were a reality? You need to start making these changes now and acting as if.

It may seem silly to do it but post notes all around your home, in your car, in your wallet to reinforce your new beliefs and say them out loud whenever you read them. Look into the mirror and say out loud your desires as if they were true now.

Try and stay away from people who make you feel as though you will never achieve your desires and if that's not possible, think of them in a positive light and don't talk about subjects that will make you feel less than amazing!

Start with little desires and use that to reinforce to yourself that you can do this.

So does the Secret really work? The answer is yes but you need to work on yourself to make it work.

Is it worth the effort? Ask those who are living their dream life and whether they think it is!
