Before You Go Camping
Taking your dog in the car can be nerve racking for both you and your dog. Lex hates sitting in the back seat and keeps trying to squeeze his way into the front. After repeated yelling he finally lays down and starts his whining which seems to never end.In the book below, Cesar's Way, Cesar suggests that your dog is excited (not in a good way), he doesn't know what's going on, he's got all this excited energy, and he's feeling your excited energy and isn't sure what to do.
So before you head out for that long car ride, take your dog out for a good walk, preferably for an hour. You could always switch up with family members, to have more time for packing.
After you dog has had some exercise and food, he should be much more relaxed for a nape in the car.
