- I have made a soup for him on the recommendation of my veterinarian. Basically you take a broth or water, some veggies - NO ONIONS - and a protein source. Sometimes I use a can of salmon. I mix it all together, cook the veggies and puree it. I either pour it over his high quality food or give it to him plain.

- We are a cat family, but my friend had a dog that was ill all of a sudden. She started to make her own dog food and the dog became healthy again. She was very pleased and it was well worth her effort.
