Are You Poisoning Your Dog?

You've read all the warnings about ANTIFREEZE and CHOCOLATE, but are you aware of what these common household items and foods can do to your dog or cat? Dr. Andrew Jones recently gave this warning.

Fabric Softeners - They may keep your clothes from clinging, but just a small piece of fabric softener can cause muscle twitches, drooling, vomiting.

Sugar Substitute Xylitol - Used in sugar-free gum, some baked goods, and toothpaste, this can cause a sudden, severe drop in blood glucose with signs of insulin overdose. Effects: staggering, weakness, seizures, even coma.

Grapes and Raisins - These can lead to kidney failure in your dog, and no one knows why. A substance in the skin, a chemical spray residue?

Lilies - Any flower in the lily family (includes Stargazer and Rubrum, in addition to Easter Lilies, Tiger Lilies, Japanese Show Lilies) can lead to kidney failure, diarrhea, vomiting, and heart problems.

What to do if your pet ingests these toxins? There's an extensive section on Pet Poisoning as part of Dr. Andrew Jones' Complete Course on Dog and Cat First Aid.

Antifreeze Poisoning - It's Deadly!

Know the symptoms, know how to do a pet health exam, and get your dog or cat to the vet FAST!

How do I know if my pet has antifreeze poisoning? First, the symptoms vary between cats and dogs. And fast action is critical to save your pet's life! If you even suspect antifreeze poisoning, go to the vet FAST, because help may only work in the first 4 - 6 hours.

This happened to a friend's year-old Labrador Retriever, apparently taking a quick lick of pavement during the morning walk, and it was a heartbreak. She simply didn't know in time.

The first signs of antifreeze poisoning may be minimal, with your dog otherwise acting normally. But as the antifreeze progresses through the dog's system, he can begin staggering and vomiting as he becomes lethargic, then has seizures, enters into a coma, and dies. Dr. Jones tells us that as few as two laps of antifreeze is enough to begin causing permanent kidney damage.

If you have a cat, too, you may notice him appearing quiet, staggering as though drunk, or apparently severely dehydrated. He can get a lethal dose of antifreeze simply by walking through a spill then grooming himself.

So PREVENT this from happening to your dog or cat or someone else's -
USE NON-TOXIC ANTIFREEZE.

Learn to recognize the EARLY SIGNS by becoming comfortable with examining your dog or cat and knowing what is normal. This is most effective if you conduct regular exams at home. (Dr. Jones advises weekly exams.) While there are written instructions on doing a pet health exam on the internet, you want to know EXACTLY how to do this. So I recommend getting Dr. Jone's 60-minute PET HEALTH EXAM DVD and Health Care Manual.

November's Top Issue - Pet Vaccine Petition - Your Dog's Greatest Health Risk

"The more I learn about Vaccines, the less I want to give them." - Dr. Andrew Jones

Pet vaccinations pose the single greatest threat to cat and dog health. You can read more about them, with recommended pet vaccine protocols, in Dr. Andrew Jones' special report - The Veterinary Code.

Here's a link where you can sign a petition for safer pet vaccines ==> Petitiononline - Pet Vaccine Safety

There is extensive information available at Catherine O'Driscoll's site, Canine Health Concern (all of which is included in the material available at The Inner Circle and in Dr. Jones' pet health care newsletters). This infinitely qualified expert has authored two books on the subject of pet vaccines: "Shock to the System," and "What Vets DON'T tell You About Vaccines."

Pet Food Recall Update - Deadly Chemical Duo Found

Melamine and Cyanuric Acid - two structurally similar chemicals, previously considered to be relatively nontoxic individually but which do not belong in cat or dog food - have been found to be deadly in combination. And BOTH were found in the pet food recalled in March 2007.

Reported November 13, 2007, the University of California, Davis Study Identifies Deadly Chemical Duo In Contaminated Pet Food. When cats ate food with this deadly duo mix, kidney failure was rapid, within only 12 hours!

Stay up to date on these issues with a membership in The Inner Circle. And avoid these problems with the best, all-natural human-grade Wellness Pet Food, combined with nutritious pet food treats you prepare at home.

DOG VACCINES - October's Dog Health Alert

With all the CONFLICTING INFORMATION about Dog Vaccines, how do you know exactly WHAT to do? Get Answers to protect your dog health!

Dog Vaccines are necessary to protect against some deadly disease. But what's a "layman" owner to do?

First, to protect your dog health, you should give ONLY the dog vaccines that are necessary - and ONLY as frequently (or infrequently) as possible. But do not neglect to protect your pet for real risks!

How can you KNOW what's best for your dog health, with all the press and experts advising different things? ... Some experts are BIG vaccine advocates, others say NOT to vaccinate, warn of vaccinosis risks, and more...

Let's take an example - Leptospirosis - a contagious disease affecting both animals and human. This bacterial infection may cause chronic liver and kidney disease, and even kill your dog.

Over the past 30 years, preventative vaccination against two of the most common Leptospires have nearly eradicated clinical disease associated with these two strains. So while there have been serious potential side effects with allergic reactions, the risks of not vaccinating for Leptospirosis once far outweighed risks of vaccine-reaction.

But in recent years, there have been new outbreaks of Leptospirosis among vaccinated dogs. Clinical evidence shows these new cases are caused by once less-common Leptospires - and the current vaccines do not protect against that strain!

So vaccinating your dog with the current Leptospirosis vaccines should be seriously questioned. In other words, the vaccine, which can cause a WHOLE HOST of side effects, is NOT EVEN protective!

To get the inside scoop on ALL the vaccines that HARM, and exactly which cat and dog vaccines HELP, you need to become a member of Dr. Jones' Inner Circle.

Dr. Jones is preparing his next GRANDE addition to The Inner Circle membership site - and it's all about VACCINES, what to give, ALL of the side effects, and EXACTLY what you can do if your pet gets one of these Side Effects. There will be videos, teleseminars, and more. . . but it's only available to members of The Inner Circle Cat and Dog Health Membership Site.

Truth about DOG VACCINES - Greatest Dog Health Concern!

Dog Vaccines - How do you know which ones to give, how often, what to do about adverse reactions, and what are the real dangers?

You asked for it in our poll! Dog vaccines are your greatest dog health concern - and here are some answers - in Dr. Jones' online Pet Health Seminar of August 23rd. Click Here to purchase the 2-hour recording with downloadabled bonus The Vaccine Code.

Clearly we have been over vaccinating our pets for far too long! Too many vaccine components at once... And research linking components of the vaccines to cancer in dogs and cats!

Did you know that CANCER is the leading cause of death in dogs and cats over age 7? That dogs have 35 times as much skin cancer as do humans, 4 times as many breast tumors, 8 times as much bone cancer, and twice as high an incidence of leukemia?

But what does this mean for you? As a concerned pet owner, you need specific recommendations for your pet health on which you can act NOW. Finally, they are available at Vaccine Code and cover:

1. Recommended vaccine protocols for puppies and older dogs based upon immunological studies. Three years, one year, none? Which ones? - Don't give unnecessary vaccines, don't give too many at once, don't give them more often than indicated, but do get the ones your pet needs!

2. Homeopathic remedies to use after vaccines to decrease the incidence of vaccine reactions.

3. Homeopathic nosodes that can be used in addition to limited vaccines. (For a pet with a serious vaccine reaction, this is the ONLY alternative.)

4. How you can boost your pet's immune system.

5. How to incorporate Home Recipes into your pet's diet. Some good ones? What about Raw Food?

5. What commercial dog foods - premium quality natural foods - are advised? (They include our favorite Flint River linked to below.)

7. Vital Supplements and the 4 key components.

8. How to prevent cancer. Alternative treatments to chemotherapy and radiation?

Get specific cat and dog vaccine guidance here!

VACCINOSIS - The Most Serious Dog Health Risk!

How can we say it better than this?

The ongoing work of one of the world's foremost Veterinary Immunologists, Dr Jean Dodds, is discussed at greater length on Vaccine Challenge on PawPersuasion.com. Dr. Jones reiterates her words:

"...The challenge to produce effective and safe vaccines for the prevalent infectious diseases of humans and animals has become increasingly difficult. In veterinary medicine, evidence implicating vaccines in triggering immune-mediated and other chronic disorders (vaccinosis) is compelling. While some of these problems have been traced to contaminated or poorly attenuated batches of vaccine that revert to virulence, others apparently reflect the host's genetic predisposition to react adversely upon receiving the single (monovalent) or multiple antigen "combo" (polyvalent) products given routinely to animals."

Dr. Andrew Jones proceeds to tell us what to do about it in his recorded pet health seminar and special report - The Vaccine Code.

On PawPersuasion.com we will be summarizing in layman's terms the findings of top canine virologist, Ronald D. Shultz' 30 years of studies of canine effectiveness and over-vaccination problems. Vaccine related pet health problems such as skin problems, allergic reactions, fibrosarcomas, and autoimmune disease...even premature death! ... are being addressed in new proposed protocols for veterinary practice in the United States.

But Dr. Jones has already interpreted all of that that and more with specific recommendations for your pet health on which you can act NOW! Get it at Vaccine Code.

And do NOT overlook the importance of your pet's annual wellness exam.

When Conventional Dog Health Care Regimen Backfires!

Your dog could be seriously ill. Are your ready to make simple changes in your dog health care?

Dr. Andrew Jones asked a serious pet health care question:

"Are you ready to make some simple changes to the way you provide pet health care to your furry friend, beginning today? If not, your dog or cat could be seriously ill and live a shortened life."

He told the heart-breaking story of "Hoochie's" premature death at only 8-years old. Hoochie was a specimen of health, given a ton of attention, exercised three times a day, fed only veterinary prescribed dog health food, and given all his vaccines. He seemed incredibly healthy.

But did the good doctor contribute unwittingly to Hoochie's death, believing only in traditional veterinary medicine for his dog health care?

Go here to discover the 3 dog health care things Dr. Jones did according to conventional veterinary wisdom that contributed to Hoochie's early demise.

You are fortunate. It is not too late for you and your pet, if you follow the link and find out exactly what you must do NOW for your dog health care.

Pet Health Emergency - Act Fast to Save Your Dog's Life!

What to do in a Pet Health Emergency? Consider every dog owner's pet health care nightmare ... Time is ticking ...

This pet health crisis has to be every pet owner's nightmare ...

You are going for an enjoyable stroll while their dog frolics with his buddies at the dog walk. Max races to beat Shorty for the ball ... Max inhales the ball... He gasps for air ...

While he's struggling to breathe, you run over to him. Then he drops .... What would YOU do??

/////////////////

I would think that you are thinking ... "Just reach inside his mouth and remove the ball." ... SIMPLE.

Not So Easy!

First, it's difficult to get your hand deep to the back of the throat, especially in a small dog.

Second, I have seen many balls wedged so far back in the throat, that NOBODY can use their hand to remove them.

The clock is TICKING ... YOU'VE got to act FAST! ...
So Now What . . .?

What pet health emergency action can you take? Find out how to respond to save your dog's life with the full text of Dr. Andrew Jones' pet health care newsletter issue: Do You Know What To Do In A Pet Health Emergency?

Pet 911 - Complete Canine and Feline First Aid Manual.

If you don't have a clue what to do if your pet swallows a household poison (which can include seemingly harmless things like chocolate - potentially deadly to dogs). . . then this may be the most important message you ever read about pets.

Most pet owners have no idea how to perform CPR, or even begin to give basic medical care to their pet. But you should know these things, because in some emergencies, you can't always get to the Vet in time.

Do you know what to do:

- If your pet is choking?
- If your pet is hit by a car?
- If your pet stops breathing?
- If your pet is bleeding?
- If your pet has hypothermia?
- If your pet has a broken leg?
- If your pet has been bitten by a poisonous snake or spider?
- If your pet is suffering from shock?

What must you do to ensure your pet's safety on the way to the emergency vet? Your prompt action could mean the difference between life and death! You need this pet health information!

HEAT STROKE - Protect Your Pet Health with Fabulous Pet Coolers and Misters

Avoid the pet health risk of heat exhaustion or stroke with affordable portable and fixed location Misters - Cool up to 30 Degrees in Seconds!

HEAT STROKE - This is a very real pet health risk in during summer heat waves - especially for dogs left in parked cars, left outside without shade and water, or over-exercised in the heat of the day. Those at greatest risk are puppies, medically compromised pets, and older dogs, but even your otherwise healthy dog could "just drop dead." The high ambient temperatures can cause body temperatures to rise quickly, up to 106 and 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Such excessively high body temperatures cause abnormalities in a dog's body which can become deadly. Vital organs fail at temperatures greater than 109 F, followed usually by death. Don't let it happen to your pet!

Misty Mate, Inc. - Exclusive Micro-Mist Technology cools air up to 30 degrees in seconds with some misting products. Find Misters of various types, both fixed position and portable, for anywhere outdoor cooling is needed - patios, decks, gazebos, docks, work areas, pet and animal areas - and for active lifestyles - camping & hiking, biking & jogging, golf & spectator sports.
To avoid the danger of heat exhaustion, Misty Mate also has specialized misters for birds and other pets, as well as for your plants. Want a people treat? Try the aroma mists for your house!

Are You Poisoning Your Dog?

You've read all the warnings about ANTIFREEZE and CHOCOLATE, but are you aware of what these common household items and foods can do to your dog or cat? Dr. Andrew Jones gives this strong warning.

Aftermath of Pet Food Recall - What Dog Food Diet for Optimal Dog Health?

What's the skinny on All Raw Dog Food Diets and Home-Made Dog Food Recipes? How can I know what is best for my Dog Health, get the truth about different Dog Diets, and find Ingredients?

All the buzz and conflicting advice about dog health food, all raw dog food diets, and home made dog food recipes after the commercial dog food horrors in the Pet Food Recall! To protect pet health, be ultra careful about source of advice and dog diet ingredients: quality, form, balance.

Dogs are omnivores. In the wild they will eat berries and pretty much anything. In time of famine they even chase lemmings. Caution: A vegetarian dog diet can omit other key nutrients. Meat is generally at the core of the wild dog diet - So human-grade meat source protein should be the base for your dog health food, too.

Wild dogs maintain dog health by consuming the entire carcass - replete with vitamins, minerals, bones, stomach, and co-factors such as digestive enzymes needed for dog health. Raw meat alone will not suffice. So if you feed a raw diet - or prepare your own home made dog food recipes - nutritional supplementation is absolutely necessary for dog health.

What Supplements? To start, your dog raw diet requires human-grade bone meal, salt substitute (potassium chloride), probiotic/digestive enzymes, calcium (elemental - calcium citrate or carbonate), etc.

Critical Questions: (1) What precise element form for optimal absorption and benefit? (2) How much and what balance? (3) Where can I buy them?

Why are form and balance important? Consider human research. Calcium supplements differ in absorption and function. Most Os-Cal might go down the toilet! Some calcium molecules are a type that bonds with calcium in your bones and leaches it out! Also, your "calcium deficit" might actually be a magnesium deficit - Balance is critical! If this happens with humans, why would it be any different with dog health care?

Ignore these factors and you can inadvertently HURT your pet health with all your loving efforts! So if you do not use safe, human-grade Wellness Dog Food - Dog Health Food with chelated minerals and other essential nutrients - you need professional guidance on dog diet options, raw dog food diets, balanced home made dog food recipes, nutritional supplements (quantities, how to buy). Dog Health Care -Diagnose a Dog Health Problem

Dog Health Care - What can you, a dog owner, do when your dog is just not right and you are afraid he might have a serious dog health problem?

Our friend, Dr. Andrew Jones, teaches Pet Health Care to dog and cat owners. His Labrador Retriever, Lewis, is a fine specimen of a dog who receives the finest dog health care - But he can still be prone to dog health problems. Not to mention the fact that he often gets into things - like the compost!

Here's a scenario Dr. Jones shared to illustrate how a dog owner might begin to diagnose a dog health problem. The owner first observes the dog health problem: "Lewis doesn't seem himself - he chooses not to eat supper - very unusual for a Labrador!"

What to do? "I give him a physical exam." (Learn how to do that yourself below. It's essential dog health care an owner needs to know!)

My dog health problem findings on exam:

1. He has a fever of 39.5 C (103 F).
2. His gums are a little dry or tacky.
3. He is uncomfortable when I palpate his stomach.
4. Fever, slight dehydration (5%), and painful abdomen.

Differential Diagnosis of this dog health problem: Dietary Gastritis (garbage Gut), pancreatitis, other infectious stomach diseases (ie Salmonella, E.Coli).

My dog health care treatment:

1. No Food for 24 hours.
2. Re-hydration - I offer him fresh water, if he won't drink it, then I squirt it into his mouth with a syringe.
3. Homeopathic- Nux Vomica- I give him 3 tabs of 30c dose.

I would monitor him, then re-examine him the next day. If it was garbage gut, he would be much improved in 12 hours. But if he started to vomit profusely - (more than 3 times, and repeatedly), then I would be concerned about something more serious like pancreatitis and take him to the clinic.

The next day I take his temperature - it is down to 38.5 (101.5) - Normal.
He has No discomfort on palpating his belly.

Dog Health Problem Conclusion:
He likely had a case of "garbage gut" which has been resolved.

Conventional Wisdom Fails - Testimony to the Great Benefits of this Unique Pet Health Information

You and your dog or cat cannot afford to be without this invaluable pet health information

When conventional dog health wisdom fails ...

Two of the many testimonials of real dog health problems and how this unique resource provided the pet health information that saved the dogs while also saving owner expense:

"Jessie is 12 years old and Zipper is 13 years old, and both have had great difficulty with blocked anal ducts to the point where they will burst. This was causing them great pain and discomfort. It would cost me a great deal for a vet visit along with medication and a 2nd visit to see the vet. The vet suggested surgery for Jessie as hers were very serious.

After reading your book, I consulted the vet and she agreed that I could clear the ducts on my own. So I do this once a month.

Your book gives me the resources and the right questions to ask my vet and has helped me to save money and keep my two miniature dachshunds healthy.

Thank you."

"My little Shih Tzu, Oreo (15 years old) had surgery in the spring of last year. After the surgery the vet prescribed Rimadyl for her. She was in such bad shape that I was just days from having her put down. I stopped the Rimadyl and have been giving her one children's aspirin per day. Oreo is back to her old self and even runs around like a puppy on her frequent good days.

Thank you for giving me my baby back. "

We can never be too sure with commercial dog food. The best thing that we pet owners can do for our beloved pets is to see to it that we give them healthy food. I think the best way to monitor what our pets eat is for us to make their dog food ourselves.

Thank you for the compliment, Vic. Yes, I do love pets of all types. When my son was young, we had a virtual zoo! I had a number of different types of birds, too, and periodically rescue one and take it to our local vet (a qualified bird rescue center). Karen DeLac has a fabulous lens you'll want to check out:

He's right on target with a very good lens - All the reasons to switch to Flint River dog food (solely or in conjunction with home dog food recipes) for your dog's health!

Yes, JeremiaSK8, commercial dog food IS killing our dogs. We continue to hear of more and more recalls. That's why we personally are shunning all dog foods sold in pet stores and elsewhere over the counter...as each has one or more questionable ingredients and lacks sufficient balance.

That's why we searched for an alternative, for when you cannot prepare home recipes, and to complement or mostly replace them without sacrificing quality. Actually, in many instances, INCREASING nutritional balance. Flint River (above) meets all the safety, freshness, and high nutrient requirements! If you haven't already, you'll want to check it out.
