Do you have an Outdoor Dog? Then you need a Great Dog Kennel!

As the owner of quite a few rescued dogs, I am interested in all things doggy...My own dogs live inside with me, and although I think this is optimal, I do realise it is not always possible.

Therefore I have put this lens together as a guide for those looking to provide their dogs with a comfortable outdoor home.

If anyone reading this has a 'backyard' dog, please have a very fast rethink. Dogs should not be tied up except in special circumstances- e.g If you have a visitors and you are unsure how your dog may react with people in his house.

I can really think of no real reason a dog should be chained- the most ridiculous reason is those who have these poor creatures as living alarm systems.  If anyone were to enter your property the dog is helpless to act while chained. If you know of anyone in your area who treats their pet in this manner please report it to your local Animal Cruelty Inspectors.

PETA (People for Ethical Treatment towards Animals)are also working hard to combat the problem of chained dogs. Whilst there are far more cruel goings on in the world, these animals are often depressed, miserable, undernourished and extremly lonely. In short- If you cannot provide a dog with a good home DO NOT get one!
