Dogs, are they really man's best friend?

I know that its stinks to talk about this, but if you are a pet owner you know exactly what I'm talking about. It seems that my dogs (I have four rescue mutts) poop is constantly changing. Sometimes it is a golden brown with a great medium to hard texture. When it is in this mode, it tends not to stink to much. Other times it is a watery, googy soft texture with a darker brown color. In this mode is really smells foul. Then other times the poop looks like little brown berries. And there is no odor.

Poop, I did it again

I love my dogs, but I hate picking up dog poop. We got the dogs to teach my daughters responsibility, and some how the script was flipped and I am the responsible one, I am responsible for cleaning up after them. A couple of years back, I was picking up the dog poop in my backyard. It was a miserable day. The temperature was over 95 degrees, but since I had not picked up the poop in three days it was really piling up. As I was there scooping up the poop, I got a brainstrom. If I hated this task so much, there must be others that hate it as well. Perhaps there was money to be made from scooping dog poop. After I finished cleaning the yard and taking a shower, I logged onto my computer and googled dog poop. Low and behold there is an actual industry of pooper scoopers. I bought the book, joined the forum and learned everything I could about dog poop and about the pooper scooper business.

I tried my hand at being a "professional" pooper scooper but business was not that lucrative. After three months I only had one customer. So I quit. I'm not one to quit, mind you, but I was tired of being full of _hit! So that brings me back to what I was writing about, the different types of dog poop.

Even some none dog owners have experience with dog poop. Especially those that live in cities. Have you ever been walking down the street minding your own business when you suddenly feel something soft just squish under your foot? When you look you see your brand new shoes full of soft, smelly, brown dog poop. It wouldnt be so bad if it were the hard stuff. That would just flake and fall off your shoes on its own. But the soft stinky stuff. That you have to actually scrape off. You would leave it there but the smell seems to follow you, and besides, you are heading for a job interview and you really need this job.

So the moral of the story is if you own a dog please curb him or her when you take it for a walk. Also, carry some doggie poop bags to pick up after your dog. Just like you dont like steping in it, others dont either. You may be a dog lover but everyone isnt. If you clean up after your dog there will be less for the non dog lover to complain about.
