Great lens we can not stress how important the health of our dogs teeth is. The healthier there teeth are it also helps them to live a longer and happier life. I only wish I would have known this soon. However at 16 years young her teeth are pretty good she has not lost any and we now take care of them on a daily basis. Thanks for this great lens. She is the cutie in my bio.

Great info! Astrid actually likes having her teeth brushed. Yep...I know I'm lucky there.

Ah, pay particular attention to those back teeth -- especially after gnawing on those marrow bones ! --wink-- --wink-- & Arf Arf!
  • jackinabox Dec 17, 2008 @ 10:57 am | delete
Not all dogs will like it, but you should be able to train your dog to accept having its teeth brushed. Time and patience :)

    ohk,
    thx loads!

Ahh, small dog with a small mouth! This is what I would try - get the smallest baby toothbrush you can find, or try just using a very thin or baby wash cloth with the tooth paste on it and use your finger. Even use your pinky finger if you need to! Or you could try one of the finger toothbrushes, they work well with my kitties teeth and they have small mouths.

    ohk,
    thx for yr reply ((:
bt if the toothbrush is too small to put in the dog's mouth
even when i bought the smallest size
    how???
cause mine dog is a chiwawa...

With the doggie toothpaste I don't think you'll have a problem. It tastes good to us pups! Like a treat...
  • doglover Nov 1, 2008 @ 10:54 am | delete
wat if they refused to open their mouth?
  • xeract Oct 28, 2008 @ 5:35 am | delete
So many people think that brushing a dogs teeth is hard, but it's really not as this lens shows. Thanks for the wonderful lens. You can find out more information about dog care at Dog Care Guide.

OMG, I wish it was that easy to brush Bandit the Cat's teeth -- he tends to be a BITER. I took him once to the vet for a comprehensive cleaning which probably cost 3 times my cleaning. ARF!

A Woodchuck was checking out your lens and liked it so well that he is sending you a virtual heart shaped waffle to sink your teeth into. Thank you for showing me how to brush my teeth. I didn't realize that brushing teeth is important to dogs as well.
