Johann's Favorite: Dog Harness

The Puppia Harness - my absolute favorite!
Harnesses are an important item for us pups. And it's not easy to find one that fits well, doesn't restrict your movement, and doesn't have nasty buckles to rub your shoulders.
But that's just what we found with our new Puppia Harness.
We were so excited to find these we just had to tell ya about them.

Why is a harness better than a collar?
And what should you consider when selecting one.
This design allows for distribution of force which may prevent choking, neck injury, improve posture while exercising (which prevents injury) and a pup has a much lower chance of slipping out than may be possible with only a collar.
Harness usage is growing in popularity among many pet owners - especially for those with smaller breed dogs.
When selecting a harness it's very important to evaluate how your dog moves in the harness - is their movement restricted, does the harness rub on their legs or shoulders or chest, is it comfortable, and are they moving, walking, and trotting properly in the harness?
All of these considerations are important to the long term health and fitness of your dog!

- Hey Yo! I'm K and my mom is wondering if you can wear these harnesses when actually training in agility (not at a trial of course). I tend to react to other dogs if they come zooming near me. Every darn time I forget my collar is going to punch me in the throat when I lunge. Having a harness like this might help me from hurting my throat when I lunge forward and take mom by surprise. Geez, I just can't control myself.

- Hi K! Thanks for stopping by. I don't really recommend something like this while actually doing agility because of the risk of it getting caught on the equipment. I do believe that AKC allows collars without any dangles for safety, maybe something like that would be better for your Mum to hook you up if needed. We want you to be safe!

- Those look comfy, but I am big and I also need a front lead style harness. Sigh.
