Dog Housebreaking Tips You Can Teach In 7 Days Or Less!
The main goal in any puppies new life...besides playing and eating...is of course to please you. They are not called man's best friend for nothing but there is definitely a right way and a wrong way in teaching your new puppy to be dedicated, loyal and a trusted member of your family.
It is your hope that your new member of the family will be there with you for a very long time and in teaching your dog obedience and house manners it will make both of your lives a whole lot less stressful.
Remember, housebreaking your dog is just the beginning of teaching your new friend things that will make him feel like he is a productive member of the "pack".
To Pee Or Not To Pee...This Is The Question
How to train my dog to use his own personal out house.
There are a variety of ways to housebreak your new puppy but it always pays to know the basic facts about your new friend so you can understand the training process.Puppies will generally not be in full control of their bowels until they are a couple of months of age. Meaning, when you gotta go...you gotta go. With that in mind, always know that there will be an accident or 2 or 3. It's not because your puppy has a bad attitude.
Keep your puppy under supervision or keep him in a place where accidents will have a minimal impact. If your puppy does urinate in the house somewhere it is pretty much a natural instinct he will seek out the same spot so keep an eye out.
One clue here is that because dogs will generally go in the same spot it can be really easy to train them to do that in a "special" spot outside. Really easy clean up if you do it right? A really great benefit of proper dog training
