Dog Houses/Plans

Whether you have an indoor,outdoor or an indoor/outdoor dog, your dogs need their own place to call home. This is where your dogs will feel secure, safe, and if they're outside, will be protected from what MOTHER NATURE throws at them. Dogs have carried over from their ancient ancestors the instinct to use a den for comfort and security. If you are going to keep your dogs outside most of the time, common sense should tell you that your pets are going to need a place to call their own. If you are in a warmer climate, you will need a dog house to give your dogs a cool place to take in a little shade from the sweltering sun. If you are some where cooler, you are going to need one to allow your dog a place to stay warm. Even in a temperate climate you are going to need something to give your dogs somewhere to find shelter in a rain storm or other adverse conditions. Not only do outside dogs need dog houses, but inside dogs may appreciate having one too. The purpose of inside one is much different than an outside one. Inside, your dogs don't need to worry about the elements, but they do need a place to feel safe. By nature, dogs are den animals. They look for small spaces where they can feel safe and secure. Whether it's a place to sleep, or just hide when they are afraid of things happening in the big house, dog houses are a place they can crawl into and feel safe.
