Dogs Gone Organic!

Ranked #13,120 in Pets & Animals, #347,381 overall

Meet Sydney and Zoe!

Hello! Meet Sydney and Zoe - two happy dogs who love their organic treats. Peanut butter treats are their favorite! With this lens, they hope to help you understand why choosing organic is so important. Here's to happy, healthy snacking!

Why We Love Organic!

Most dog treats (and people treats) on the market are loaded with chemicals, mystery meats and yucky quality ingredients. If you wouldn't eat food of this quality, should you be feeding it to your dog? Dogs (and yes, people) who typically consume a chemical heavy diet often experience a lot of illnesses, allergies, skin issues, and tend to live shorter lives. Making the switch to an organic diet has the potential to tremendously improve the health of both you and your dog.

Just A Few Of The Benefits Of An Organic Diet

A quality diet, including healthy treats, can improve the overall health and well being of your dog.

Increased energy

Less digestive issues

Proper weight maintenance

Reduction in skin issues and allergies

A stronger immune system

Increased life expectancy

What SHOULDN'T Be On The Label

When you are buying treats, what is not on the label is sometimes more important than what is. Always avoid the following ingredients:

Chemical additives

Chemical fertilizer

Fillers like wheat or corn

Chemical preservatives

Artificial colorings

Animal by-products

if you can't pronounce it, it shouldn't be there

Zoe's Biography

ZoeWe had the unique fortune of moving in with Zoe.The first time we saw her, she was just loosing her puppy hair - she still had patches of it here and there! This cute little girl's people were moving away, and couldn't take her. So we moved into the house, and adopted Zoe. That was almost 12 years ago. Over the last decade, Zoe has taken a keen interest in chasing Frisbees and balls. She also enjoys hiking and rock climbing. She has climbed a few mountains in her day, too!

Sydney's Biography

SydneySydney has a very lucky story. He was found along the highway, chasing cars. The man who found him took him in until he could find someone to take him. He decided to call him Lucky. The man was out hiking where we were camping, and asked us if we wanted a dog. We thought we might be able to help Lucky find his people, or place him with a good family - so we took him (besides, he had one really cute floppy ear that we fell in love with!) We went door to door, trying to find his people. We posted ads, and went to the Humane Society to have him scanned for a chip. Well, lucky for Lucky dog, we fell in love with him during the process, and decided to add him to our family. We chose a new name for him (it was time for a fresh start), and called him Sydney. Sydney has lived with us for 10 years now! His greatest passion in life is chasing shadows and reflections. He also enjoys hiking and chewing on squeaky toys.

The more people realize that they need to read their dog treat labels, the healthier their dogs will be. Something that a lot of folks don't realize is that there isn't very much of a regulation on dog treat "organic" or "natural" products. Even though the pretty advertising says it is "organic" or "natural", doesn't mean it is necessarily so.

I just love the stories about Zoe and Sydney and can completely understand the love for the floppy ear. Just from a photo I too am very partial!

Your dogs are gorgeous and I think it is so important to treat our dogs organically just as we would ourselves.
