Dogs And Dolphins

My dear soul Mukunda had his 11th birthday party last week!!

I took him on some of our haunts, for old time's sake.

I took him over to visit my friend Ellen, and when a cat appeared from nowhere,
Muke did not chase him.

Ellen was telling me about a mouse problem she was having. Suddenly
Muki dropped a toy mouse at her feet, and panted/laughed widely as if to say,
"I know exactly what you are saying!!!!!"

Then I took him to visit my friend Jerry. Muki sat looking at both of us as we
conversed about an upcoming conference we both were organizing. He reminded
us to in-joy his presence, because 11 is a big deal in doggie years!!!!!

Then the rest of the day Muke and I reveled in each other's company. Naturally, I
always am aware of his constant companionship. But this day, I was grateful
for his excellent health.

I am grateful for every meal I prepare from scratch, all the while pouring Vitamin X
in every particle of food!!! (Vitamin X is Love!!)

I am grateful that I give him a special treatment along his spine --which I do 4-6 times a day.

I am grateful for every thing this dog has taught me about loving myself
and all other living creature!!

I am so happy to have this amazing silent (well he does bark to get
my attention!!) friend lying at my feet or walking by my side.
