About The WYSWYG Editor

Let me tell you something. The WYSWYG editor is one of the best things that Squidoo had introduced.  Many lensmasters have been asking for this and now it has arrived.

You think that my job as HTML and CSS Mentor is gone.  My knowledge in that field is still needed for the people whom want to add HTML to their lenses to make them better. If anything, this will make your job easier as you write into your lenses.  For now, it is only available in the intro module, but in time they will add it to the rest of the lenses.  Here, I will show you around the editor.

Why Do I Like It?

You may be a bit surprised that I do like the new editor. It really does not matter to me if its a wyswyg editor or one without anything. I think with it, it cuts down the time it takes to add to the module. I found I was writing in the information rather quickly. As long as it does what it is supposed to do and that I can add HTML or CSS when I want to, I am happy.

Adding HTML or CSS

For now, the wyswg module is isolated to the intro module. In time, it will be included in the rest of the modules. For you people whom are not used to wyswyg editors on other sites, this may seem confusing, but really it is not. All you have to do is hit the source button on the top of the module and it will switch to the other view. You can write what you want to in the module first and then add the HTML or CSS if you prefer. Either way works. Before, you could not add HTML or CSS In the title. You can now do that.
