Doing Pull Ups
The point of this page is to teach people that a simple thing like doing pull ups can help transform their physique into what they have always wanted. I will show all the different variations of pull ups there are and how you can incorporate more pull ups into your training routine. Even if you can not do a single pull up I can tell you a routine that will get you there.
I've learned over the days that the best exercises are the most difficult ones. Isn't that shocking? I would say pull ups are one of the more difficult exercises out there and that is why I love them. Learning to love doing pull ups is a must for every athlete and you will become a beast in the process. Thanks for stopping in!!

Why You Should be Doing Pull Ups
Incoroprate some more pull ups into your routine annd prepare for the results
Many people neglect doing pull ups regularly and I used to be one of them. I imagine most people have the same reason that I had which was that doing pull ups was damn near impossible! I'm not afraid to admit it, I was a disgrace to the pull up bar, a gym rat that couldn't do more than a couple pull ups. You just can't be a well rounded savage if you can't bang out at least 8 pull ups so just come to terms with it.
What doing Pull Ups will do for you
Forcing myself to do Pull ups made my upper body's overall strength increase. It also made my biceps get much much bigger, it's like killing two birds with one stone. Your arms will become disgusting at the same time as your back it's a win win situation. Doing more pull ups will benefit your cardio, hand/grip strength, forearm strength, bicep strength, and overall back development. It sure is nice to look down at your arm and see veins running down your arm.

How to start doing more pull ups
If pull ups are really difficult for you try than these methods.
Now if you cant even bang out a single pull up there is one thing that works for everyone. Negatives Use some sort of stool to get up to the top postition of your pull up and drop as slow as you can. As you do this focus your back and arms allowing you to slowly lower. Do a few sets of 8 or whatever is comfortable for you just get a good burn going on the muscles and your first time you will be sore as hell. Don't worry this is perfectly normal learning to hang from just your arms can be quite shocking to the muscles. Eat good get lots of sleep and repeat, it is as simple as that.
I won't recommend any excercises such as a lat pull downs because if you can't do pull ups you need to shock your back an arms to support your body weight. Maybe if it was someones first time training in a long time than I wouldn't tell them to jump on some pull ups or negatives but if your trying to build that strength than negatives are the way to go

Caution: Doing Pull Ups Can Make Your Arms Blow Up
Sometimes I see guys in the gym that can barely do a couple pull ups but spend countless hours doing various bicep exercises. If you ask me they could be using their time to work on pull ups and get huge biceps at the same time. Your arms will freak out when they have to pull your fat ass up and down on a regular basis, trust me.
You'll thank me when your arms are sore as hell and you eventually have diesel arms. Don't forget the power doing pull ups has for building your biceps. And if you are more advanced try some weighted pull ups they are the bomb.

- Pull ups are definitely one of the best movements you can do for your body hands down. Any good functional training routine should involve pull ups or some variation.
