Maybe you won't get rich quick doing the laundry, but you can have some fabulous finds!

But, you may actually pick up a bit of spare change and some interesting items! Quite a few years ago, I did have the opportunity to make a quick buck or twenty when I had a boyfriend who left twenties in his pocket on a routine basis. I opted to not keep any money I found in his pockets as I was employed full-time then at a pretty good job and didn't need the cash.

I'm sitting here editing this lens again. Since I first wrote this lens on doing the laundry, my life has expanded. Oh, I've done countless loads of laundry ... more loads than Squidoo lenses! You see, I am a multi-tasking work at home wonder woman AND homemaker doing the laundry, cooking, cleaning et. al. I'm a non-profit, volunteering housewife on Saturdays! And you know the rest!

In the weeks to follow, still doing the laundry!

Getting richer every day ...

Week #2: It's another Saturday of multi-tasking: laundry, some cleaning, Squidooing, and checking on the latest spayed cat. Oh, today I made ZILCH but dug a few goodies, quite by accident, out of hubby's pocket!

Week #3: Well, I made more money than the previous week; however, I had a MOST interesting find! Now where did THAT come from??? You found it where?

Week #4: W00t! Two dimes and a nickle all in one haul -- that's better than 3 of my low-performing lenses!

Week #5: W00t! W00t! OMG, I made more money in two loads of laundry than I can shake a stick at!

What's the most interesting thing you've found in your laundry?

Go ahead, add yours here ...

This is too funny! I find change all the time. I have found a hermit crab shell (one of our extra ones), a half eaten candy cane, lollypop sticks, a spark plug, and a nozzle for the air compressor. You'd think they'd learn. :)

Nice lens! I don't find much in the laundry since it's just me, my husband and our 5 month old son. Can't wait to see what I find in the future from our little guy.

Laundry Mysteries

Thankfully I'm not old enough to have ever done laundry by hand -- I can't imagine that people in the world actually have to wash their clothes by hand. We certainly are privileged to live in the United States!

However, I do remember that my grandmother had a manual washer down the basement of her Cleveland, Ohio home. She also had an automatic, but loved to use the manual one. What was interesting, she didn't own a dryer ... she loved to hang her laundry to dry in the backyard or down the basement. Yikes, when she hung up my training bra for all to see! Memories ...

Well, thinking about the mysteries of laundry ...

  • Why is it that you always seem to lose a sock in the dryer ... is there a dryer gremlin?

  • Why is my shirt pink??? and not white?

  • Why do husbands leave so much stuff in their pockets?

  • How does my hubby LOSE 2 pair of jeans?
