Totally awesome! My little brother died when he was 8.5 years old, cystic fibrosis. Because he had such difficulty breathing he found things to do that didn't require much energy. Origami was one of Ronnie's hobbies as a little boy. I can still picture that book that he used to teach himself how to make these amazing things from squares of paper.

The only origami I can do from memory is a paper boat that my father taught me to make many many years ago. My daughter is always coming to me with bits of paper asking for a boat. I guess I should really learn some other origami as boats get a bit boring after a time.

    Great lens.
  • BritFun Mar 21, 2010 @ 12:31 pm | delete
Haven't really done origami before (well not since I was a kid anyway) - but I tried it the other day: The game Heavy Rain on the PS3 is a mystery about finding the "Origami Killer" - and they give you some origami to do while the game installs. I nearly got stuck a couple of times - but managed it in the end. It was fun - so I might try some of these - (when I've finished playing the game!).

This truly rocks! I've been doing this for a long time, as I like to leave tips at Asian food restaurants this way (I always get smiles and often cute waitresses asking me how it's done haha ^_~), usually doing the t-shirt and pants, sailboat, etc. - but there sure are a lot more models to choose from here! Thanks heaps for a very informative lens! I'd give ya more, if I could, but I gave ya five awesomtastic stars! Keep it up, eh? ^_^

This is a really unique lens and, I have to say, a really unique use of a dollar bill (or a five, a ten, a twenty?) After reading through and trying to absorb the simple introduction, I think I'll be back (a lot) to figure out each of these unusual projects. Spend for spending the time to share this stuff!
