I love dollhouses of all kinds. Fantasy ones are my favorite as they seem, to me, to give you more options and are less realistic. I love the information in this lens!

I love dollhouses and miniature dollhouse furniture, I've never grown out of that childhood hobby.

Here's a tip: for a chest of drawers, stack match boxes or tiny gift boxes that slide in and out, or boxes from tiny fuses used in automotive applications (one brand--outside is metal and "drawer" is clear plastic). Then paint if desired, and/or use tiny magazine pictures as "decals". Use beads for drawer pulls.

I've wanted a wood dollhouse since childhood. One that was built, ready for me to decorate with wallpaper, furniture, lights (like my Aunt Mary had) and personal touches. My favorite touch to a dollhouse was one that was made for my niece by her Grandfather; it was a framed picture of her Mother at the same age as she was at the time the dollhouse was gifted to her! If I had had the time, I would have done it for both of my daughters. I also have a great idea for a doll house I once owned, have not seen anything like it since. Am still looking since I too have ideas for doll houses on a lens. Promise, not like yours, a bit different. If you want me to share my idea, please drop a note, I'd love to hear your feed back!

    Hello Paul,
I have always loved doll houses, I used to love putting all of the furniture in place. This makes me want to get one.
    Nice selection,
    Robin :)

Well these are certainly gorgeous dolls houses!

These are lovely. I played more with stuffed animals and plastic horses than dolls as a kid but for any barbie doll girl this would be awesome.

I bought one of the dollhouse kits once. I never finished it and gave it away for someone else to finish. I was moving at the time...and you just can't move an unfinished dollhouse very easily.

There are even clubs for this for adult collectors. I used to belong to the Cleveland Miniaturists Society years ago.

I am virtually dreaming right now, as we speak, of my new house -- er doll house -- may it be a charming cottage! Merry Christmas my dear ... still thinking "merry" you know? May you have a blessed rest of the year and a very Happy AND Blessed New Year that is all that you could want it to be!

Like Susana, I gave up the hobby for a while because it was childish, but not a long time, i guess, because I picked it back up again. I like modern design as it's easy to pick up, or create, eclectic furniture and accesory designs... that work.

I love dollhouses! For years I kept this quiet for fear of being thought childish so I'm pleased to see that nowadays the collection of dollhouses and dollhouse furniture is considered acceptable and fun.. Lovely dollhouse plans here, lovely furniture, lovely lens.

I am also into miniature dollhouses. You have done a nice job of presentation!

Glad to see you included the fact that it takes lots of patience for this hobby. I've seen a number of people spend considerable money on kits etc, only to find they don't have the patience necessary. If you have the time, have a look at my site: dollhouse-accessories.com

Fantastic info in this lens! I have just recently gotten into doll houses myself. I have bought some but have yet to try to design one myself. I think I just might have to now! If you get a chance, check out my Doll House Kits blog.
