Dominion Seaside: Great Expansion for the Original Dominion!

Dominion Seaside is the 2nd addition to Dominion which can be played as an expansion to both Dominion and Dominion Intrigue. However, this addition is a truly expansion. It cannot be play on its own due to it lacks the basic Land and Money cards that Dominion and Dominion Intrigue come with. Thus, you must have either the base game or Intrigue to play with this expansion.

The theme for Dominion Seaside is "medieval nautical". Here's the story: you are in a mission to send merchant trade ships to far-off ports. Its a dangerous journey. The waters is full with pirates. You must conquer and take over some islands to expand your power.

This theme gives the games a much different feel from playing just the original or Intrigue. The new version adds a number of new strategies and ways to accumulate points faster and also to attack opponents. There are more elements of chance, whimsy, and, after sufficient quiet building momentum, the heady exercise of much-restrained power. It is a nice companion to the smash-and-grab routines introduced by Intrigue.

Dominion is a non-collectible card game published by Rio Grande Games. It was voted the best game of the fair by the Fairplay polls.

In Dominion, you play as a ruler of a distant kingdom with a mission to expand your power. Players must accumulate wealth, spend their wealth to make improvements to their town and then use those improvements to acquire more land. Land equals victory points for the most part. Whoever has the most victory points wins.

All around, Dominion has something for everyone, from the collectable card game nut, to the poker player, to the family looking for an alternative to trivial pursuit on Sunday nights.
