not sure I understand your 1st question about the beads...but I drop micro beads on to my domino just after I've applied the resin...the resin dries holding beads in place.

As for your 2nd question: my drill bits and eye screws come from the hardware store...if your hole is too small you may chip some of the domino when forcing the eye screw through. Opt for too big and then use some crazy glue to keep the eye screw in place.

    Good luck
  • Quelyn Dec 12, 2008 @ 11:21 am | delete
I have been playing around with different techniques from rubber stamping, permanent markers, decoupaging, diamond glaze, pin backs, etc. I am pleased with my efforts on the face of the dominos but I'm struggling with the edges and how to hang them. I have been mostly using gold and silver leafing pens to finish the edges but then I'm torn on how to seal them afterwards. I have been spray sealing them but then the E7000 won't hold beads on top if I decide to string them that way. If I glue beads on first, it's difficult to leaf the edges nicely...and would I really want to spray a sealant onto the beads?
Also, I have used the smallest two bits on my dremel tool in hopes of adding the eye screw but the smallest eye screw I found is between those two sizes. So either the hole is too small and I can't get it screwed in or the hole is too big. Where have you been finding yours? I'm left with drilling a large centered hole and threading through that for now.

Loved your pendant idea. I have been looking for directions on how to make my own pendants, I want to stop buying these, so this was very helpful. Great lense!

Thanks for visiting my lens! I don't think I've ever seen your work before, but about 4 or 5 years ago I made a domino pin with the SAME stamp as your demo! I painted the background orange with Pinata Inks, & glued a green crystal in her eye. I get lots of compliments on it, but I haven't gotten back to do more, but it was stamping that inspired me to do jewelry design! :-) 5* for you & definitely my faves!
