Helping International Sex Workers
SWOP-East has a member in Santiago, Chile who found two local organizations who support sex workers directly without benefit of USAID funding. In fact, they barely exist themselves. They desperately need condoms. In Catholic-dominated Chile, condoms are difficult to find and expensive.
So we're gathering donations of condoms (and any monetary donations you want to send!) and shipping them to Chile. They're distributed directly to the sex workers who need them. No red tape, no layers of costly administration. It's an effort of love and a way to help save lives.

Checks and/or money orders should be made out to: Project Prosper and clearly marked for Pledging Action. If you need to ship via FedEx or UPS, please contact us for a non-PO Box address.
Project Prosper is a 501(c)3 and all donations are tax-deductible. If your donation is over $250, please contact us directly for our tax ID and a receipt. If you're making a cash donation (in any amount) that you want to be tax-deductible, you'll need to contact us for a receipt (due to new IRS regulations for 2007 returns).
