Why Do We Have Timeshares?

Today I will be looking into the subject of timeshares. My husband and I bought a timeshare some years ago and we are up to our heads in maintenance fees. At first it was all sunshine and daises but now its become a total mess! We are completely sick of it. Therefore, I am embarking on a research journey to discover all the options available on how to get out of your timeshare once and for all.

I know the reason many of us have a timeshare is because we were the victims of cold-calling. Those sneaky, smart representatives who know exactly what to say for us to say yes. But alas, in the end, the blame falls on us. I have to admit that the timeshares seemed fabulous at first. However, we soon realized the predicament we placed ourselves in. These timeshares are like leeches! They just take and take and take. Its a never-ending cycle with these timeshares. To simply put it. We are just tired. Tired of being scammed. Tired of giving away our money. Tired period.

Most timeshare owners have already been scammed trying to get out of their timeshare.

Absolutely! There are many scammers out there.

TimeshareCure says:

There are many people who are so desperate to get out of their timeshare that they dont think about whether the company is a scam they just want out.

No way. Some people are smarter than that.

Options?

To think back on all those times where my husband and I were scammed brings back all the anger and frustration we had. We tried everything you could ever imagine to get out of our timeshare. We worked with listing companies. We tried selling it on ebay. We even worked with a company that just took our money and vanished. Seriously? Is our economy so bad that people have to resort to scamming others in order to survive? Or are these people just too lazy to find a decent job? I mean the list can go on but in the end we still have the timeshare except now our pockets are empty.

We almost gave up until we ran into an old friend who possibly gave us the best advice ever. She told us to contact DonateTimeshares.com.

“The measure of a life, after all, is not its duration, but its donation.”

Why Donate?

Selling timeshares can be quite difficult to do, especially if you want to generate a quick sale. Your resale price will often only amount to a small portion of the initial amount that you paid for it, plus by the time you've accounted for commissions, resale fees, advertisers fees etc, you won't have that much leftover at the end. One of the quickest and easiest solutions to selling a timeshare in order to rid yourself of financial liability is to donate your timeshare to charities. You'll find that there are quite a few charities out there who are willing to take timeshares off your hands. Of course, there are also several companies out there who are willing to take your timeshare for free, so what are the advantages of giving your timeshare to charity?

Some charities that accept your donation of timeshares will actually enable you to get a tax written off for the donation. Americans that donate timeshares to charity can get anything between $10,000 and $40,000 for doing so. In this way, it is actually possible for those who want to get rid of timeshares by donating to charity to get a larger profit out of it.

If you choose to donate your timeshare to charity, you will also avoid being subject to advertising fees, agents and the hassle of paperwork. By donating your timeshare to charity you can be easily be rid of the financial liability of your timeshare within a few weeks - it's a really fast, simple process.

Timeshares can benefit the charity because any profit that they make will help fund the work that they do, so you can feel good about your donation. Plus, if you leave the charity with the work of reselling, you avoid the cost and the hassle yourself!

Finally Timeshare Free!!

It took my husband and I a while to find the right company but with donate timeshares we were finally able to get out once and for all. When we contacted Donate Timeshares they were extremely helpful and friendly. A representative named Jessica helped set us up and kept us updated every step of the way. This was probably one of the best experience I've ever had with a company and I am glad we decided to contact them. It was a couple of months later that we received a call informing us that we were finally timeshare free! My husband and I were so happy that we went out and celebrated.

If you are in the USA, just make sure the charity you donate to is registered with the IRS as "tax exempt and tax deductible" under section 501(c)(3) of the tax code. If they aren't, your donation is NOT deductible on your tax return!

Donating Information

Donating is more than just giving someone your old clothes and stuff you no longer use. It is about giving them hope. Showing them that the world is not all bad. We just need to show them that even if they don't care about themselves, theres someone out there that does.

By donating to those in need we are changing the world little by little. When we look back on our lives we want to be able to say that we made a difference. There is nothing in the world that feels more amazing than seeing a orphan child's face light up when they receive a gift. Give them hope for tomorrow.

A Day of Hope is a program of the CSU, Stanislaus Foundation that delivers baskets of food and turkeys to needy families in Stanislaus County for Thanksgiving.

Timeshares on Sale

As I was doing my research, I discovered that there are many families who are trying to sell their timeshares on ebay. These people are so desperate that they are selling them for a dollar or less! If this was the case they might as well donate their timeshare for a good cause. It is unbelievable what some people do these days.
