I have been a Barbra fan since I was a Iittle girl (Thanks Dad!) Imagine how I felt when they recorded that song together! Two of most favorite people ever, together. I have Miami Vice Junkie and Classic Don Johnson lenses here on Squidoo! I adore this man! I did stay home on Friday nights just to watch!

I could not go a friday night without watching MV...as a matter of fact my then 5 yr old would say, "Mommy yourami vice is on!" I always called it Miami Vice, he thought it was actually mine! Kids...thanks for this trip down memory lane.

Loved the TV series "Nash Bridges"! Wish one of the channels like TV Land would show some of the re-runs. Also liked Cheech Marin in this series. Totally surprised to know he is also a singer/song writer. Loved the video "Heartbeat". He is an excellent actor and would love to see him back on TV!!

I should have written this - I'm a long-time Don Johnson fan! I love Miami Vice and Nash Bridges, both. I have all of his music, too, including the duet he did with Barbara Streistand. He had a fabulous voice.

I really enjoyed Miami Vice. Started watching because of Don Johnson, but the acting was great from everyone, and I became a fan of Edward James Olmos from it as well. Some great memories of those days.

im a big fan, like his style and he put some macho in his role as crockett, take or leave it attitude, which i like , instead of sissy portrayal of men in most films,, he,s my favorite, wish there were more like him, he seems like a genuinley good guy too, very personalable, thanks for this spot on web , i greatly enjoyed it

I also liked From here to Eternity with him and Kim Basinger. I was lucky to see it when it aired on TV back in the day. Can't find it on DVD :(

I just wanna say i loved him evey since i saw him in an older version of 'The Stepford Wives". I watch and dvr all miami vice, unfortunately i didnt get in to Nash bridges, but
I loved guilty sin with rebecca demornay. loved to see him in more stuff.i miss seeing

The Don - a true great!

I always thought The Don was really, really talented - more so than the movie superstars that surfaced while he was doing Miami Vice: Kevin Costner and Bruce Willis. Those guys have got like maybe two or three different types they can play, but The Don's got range, man! The proof is that he turned down Die Hard, Bull Durham, The Untouchables and a lot of other good gigs because of his obligation to Vice. Who got those parts? Willis and Costner, that's who. Jeeeeez. He also couldn't do To Live and Die in L.A., and Michael Mann hasn't been to kind on him - Johnson should have been the lead in Manhunter!

And he was born in a log cabin.

Don is the best I simply adore him. He makes my day seem a little less stressful! I also love him on Long Hot Summer and if I was miss Noel I wouldn't have wasted my time with mama's boy alan with that masterpiece in the house!!!

I'm on my 7th viewing of the Miami Vice DVDs. THE best actor I've ever seen I believe - such incredible range. And I loved him in The Hot Spot, too! Such charisma, presence and sex appeal - and what a voice. I'm listening to The Essential as I write.

I think he was really good on Nash Bridges. He has a great voice and it's a shame he didn't make more than two albums. The videos are great and my favorite movie is Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man. Funny scene's and great dialogue.

I like him as an actor very much but I can't find most of his filmes online (I'm out of USA). I would like to see his filmes online very much. And about his musical skills, I love his songes, and his deep voice it's someting :) I wish him great luck and wish to learn good news about him and his family!!!

I'think he's a great guy - a talented actor, and very handsome and sexy... So handsome that sometimes it's almost hurts to look at him, especially in "Miami Vice" and some other movies where he is young. :-) And his charm is just incredible.

yea bts , i ve been searching for the movie on line, on dvd or vhs, it was the first time i saw him and i remembered his role was as a wild womanizer type, but very impressive, im still trying to find the dvd , it also had some good fellow actors , maybe 79 or 80 , along there some where, i want to get it to bring back some good memories of those years

I am a big Don Johnson Fan I know everything about him and his family I followed his career forever he is one of the main reasons why I am doing acting I love him I will always be a Don Johnson Fan no matter what and he will always be my favorite actor along with his son Jesse Wayne Johnson,Melanie Griffith,Antonio Banderas,Bruce Willis,Demi Moore,Ashton Kutcher,Patrick Swayze,Patti D'Arbanville and so many more...

VERY TALENTED IN ALL ASPECTS OF HIS CAREER FROM TV

Oh yeah, Don Johnson as Sonny Crocket was good for endless steamy fantasies! At that time, I thought he was the most insanely gorgeous male that ever walked the earth. I also LOVED loved loved him in the 1985 TV movie "The Long, Hot Summer". Thanks for bringing us this great topic for a Lens!
