Why do I have a donkey lens, you ask? While surfing for some good nature webcams that I can share with my grandchildren I happened upon a 'donkey web cam' and quickly learned a few things about the donkey that I never knew before. So this lens is to educate me and you about The Donkey.
Learn about Donkey charities and how you can help a donkey. Squidoo Charity now gives to the charity Longhopes Donkey Rescue. This is exciting news! This lens is now giving part of it's earnings to this charity every month.

Over the years almost 9,000 donkeys in need of care have passed through the Donkey Sanctuary's gates.

- Since 1969 we have taken over 12,000 donkeys into our care in the UK and Ireland and have over 45 welfare officers who can follow up reports of cruelty to or neglect of donkeys, quickly and efficiently. We also have core overseas projects in Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Kenya and Mexico - bringing urgent veterinary assistance to working donkeys in distress. Further projects exist in Europe where many more donkeys need our help.

- By adopting one of our donkeys for one year, you will be helping toward the running costs of our charity, (The Elisabeth Svendsen Trust for Children and Donkeys) which provides riding therapy for children with special needs and disabilities.

- Never met a donkey I didn't like. When I was a kid we had a goat. Rumor is I drank goat's milk when a was young and then the goat became a pet. Great lens.

- Love the webcam of the donkey shelter. Of course when I looked, it was the middle of the night in England so very dim but they were mostly all sleeping standing up!
