Just as Miami Dolphins coach Don Shula and his wife Mary Anne discovered, the extra weight can really hinder your lifestyle. Extra pounds can seriously slow you down, especially as you age. This directly affects how young you feel, too.

So try to look at weight loss as a way of eclaiming a bit of your youth. Incidentally, remember that while hanging around with young people, like your children or grandchildren, for instance, can sometimes make you feel young again, never be ashamed of your age. Take pride in it!

The most important thing is that you take care of yourself at any age-and remember, you're not only doing it for yourself, but for your loved ones, too. By looking and feeling great, not only are you taking one step closer to your own Fountain of Youth, but you're also giving the people who are close to you the gift of having you around longer! That's important.
