Don't Tell Her It's Me
Synopsis: About the 1990 movie.

I just love this movie, it's one of my favorite romantic comedies of the 90s. This movie is about Lizzie Potts, a romantic novelist (fabulously portrayed by Shelley Long) who's written many romantic novels, is married and has a little girl. Lizzie is close to her only brother, Gus (portrayed by Steve Guttenberg), who's overcome a serious illness. Now that Gus is completely well, Lizzie wants to help her brother reconnect with the world by meeting more people. One day, Emily (portrayed by Jami Gertz) interviews Lizzie regarding her novels, and Lizzie gets an idea that she should introduce Emily to her brother. When Gus and Emily meet, it's an instant attraction for Gus, but not for Emily. When Lizzie sees this, it gives her the idea of transforming her brother into the ultimate ladies man that Emily won't be able to resist. When Lizzie is done, Gus is transformed into Lobo, a motorcycle, leather wearing tough guy with an Australian accent, which instantly turns the tables on Emily when she sees him. This movie is wonderfully funny and truly hilarious, but also a great love story. A truly enjoyable not-widely-known movie, with a lot of character and entertainment. Definitely one of my favorite romantic comedies.
