How to make a unique paper gift box
The perfect little thing to fill with a nice gift for friends. In this little tutorial I'll show you how you can make a paper box.
For making a box from paper you need:
The outline pattern for your paper box
The first thing you need for your paper gift box is a pattern with the outlines.
Right click on the image and save it to your harddrive.
Open it in a graphic application (Photoshop, Gimp, Corel Draw) and change it to a size of your choice.
If necessary redraw the lines.
Pens you could use for painting the doodle pattern on your paper box
Simple shapes
Use a black pen and add the first simple lines
Add the first doodle pattern to your paper box
Fill the shapes with simple pattern
Continue with more pattern - this will make a very unique paper box design
Add more pattern - your paper box template will be filled with these pattern
Add more pattern
Just fill all shapes with simple pattern
Continue with more pattern

You could color your patterns with crayons if you like to .
For this paper box - I did not paint on paper
Nevertheless they are "hand drawn", because I am drawing them with a pen on a Wacom Cintiq
tablet. I printed my paper box pattern...
When you paint the pattern for your box - it's really important that you use thicker paper.
Your pattern will look a lot better on nice, thick paper and your box will be a lot more sturdy.
Scissors you could use to cut the paper box template
A bone folder is great
I did not use one - and you'll see the result ;)
Cut out the box and fold it
I should have been a bit more accurate when I cut out the box ;)
Glue or tape of your choice
Glue your unique gift paper box together
You will make it better :)
