Dooney and Bourke
Founded in 1975 by Peter Dooney & Frederic Bourke, Dooney and Bourke was known for it's fashionable suspenders and belts created with fine leather in Town and Country Style.
In 1981, Dooney and Bourke opened the Company Store and added Dooney and Bourke named Tack Case and Equestrian Bag - made from bridle leather - through such fine merchandisers as Nordstrom, Brooks Brothers, and Saks Fifth Avenue.
Dooney and Bourke created their now-famous Duck logo in 1983 and enjoyed a fine, time-tested reputation with upscale, mature clientele for many years.
Following the onslaught of celebrity bags in the early 2000s, Dooney and Bourke created the Emma Bag - with Emma Roberts as the namesake - followed by a Dooney and Bourke Bag named the Hayden after their new spokeswoman and Heroes Heroine, Hayden Panatierre.
The Dooney and Bourke Brand has been tested and proven by time and the coming and going of trends. Their newest items being a Rope design, a Twist Strap Suede Hobo, and the Patent Leather Chiara Bag.

Dooney and Bourke Bag - Is it Real?
How to tell if your Signature Dooney and Bourke Bag is Authentic or a Replica
1. The handles and trim will always be tan (British Tan) on an Authentic Dooney and Bourke Bag. If the trim or handles are not clearly tan, you are holding a replica.
2. The logo tag, on the front of the purse, will have the same color thread stitching as the rest of the purse if your bag is authentic.
3. All of the hardware (tabs, feet, studs, etc.) will be brass on an Authentic Dooney and Bourke bag.
4. An authentic Dooney and Bourke Bag will have the trademark Duck logo on leather on the inside as well as a red white and blue registration number under a leather seam.
Take a good look, I hope you're pleasantly surprised.
A few more tips...
If you plan on buying a Dooney and Bourke bag or wallet, I have plenty of links on this page from reputable sources such as Amazon and a direct link to Dooney and Bourke's website. You may also buy a Dooney and Bourke piece from Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, and other high-end and respected department stores.
If you choose to follow my eBay links to Dooney and Bourke sellers on eBay, do not buy a bag from a seller with feedback below the thousands. Be extremely picky. A Dooney and Bourke Bag is a fine investment and must be treated as such.
