- Doris Day too exteme in her animal rights?, Hell, whenbever the subejct comes up, Doris is almos nowhere to be found. I'm convinced most animal activists think she's too staid and ask: "What is the youngest age of her animal-rights freinds?" Kind of like the hip image animal rights seem to promise, and saying, well Scooby-Doo's hip by association [a Sinatra song lyric, animation and Casey kasem and therefore some of the characters's animal rights], so why ain't SCOOBY-DOO hip?" yeah, that was a far toss.. btw Courtney Thorne Smith is Doris's TV modern counterpar,t evne with the same blonde looks, and likewise a animal lover who is much like doris. In shor,t underrated in every department. and Truly Classy.:)
Enough said.BTW her last hit was 1958'[s "Everybody loves a lover". I alos undertsand her boss and friend Mitch Miller form Columbia is similiar..and he too is almost forgotten today..

- I have a feeling that Doris didn't attend to accept the Medal of Honor because her son was ill and died shortly afterwords. Although I believe she is frightened to fly. I was shocked to hear he had passed away.
