Do Some Good Now - Help Us Do Good!

We'€™re building these really cool eco-urban homes, and we decided that the homes in this community (which we'€™re calling Good) would equip villagers in Burkina Faso, West Africa to build their own homes. These impoverished people need empowerment (not welfare)... and you can help.

Here's how it works: For every 100,000 visitors between now and July 1st, we'll fund the complete training of a local Burkina Faso mason to build houses for families that need them. So visit Do Some Good Now and Do Some Good!

cool lens - I think you are also on GiveMeaning? Us as well :)

your website is very cool - I'm impressed!

We're looking for an organization that would be interested in helping us build a eco-friendly center for abandoned children in a refugee camp (with dorms, cafeteria, library...etc), and I was wondering if you had any interest, or any advice on who we could contact to do this.

Cheers!

Welcome to the Help Africa Group. This is a great idea. Anyone working with Africans knows they're hard-working people and need opportunities like this, not welfare.

Thanks for the info! It looks like they are using Earth Bag Building and we will also be experimenting with that at our new "testing lab" on several acres of land in western North Carolina along with Western Carolina University's Building Construction Dept.
