Item build
My first item on her is typically bracers. She has very low health, but if you're a good DotA player you can replace it with a wraith band for extra damage. You should be constantly nuking/denying with her during the laning phase and the extra mana these items grant is very helpful. Try to stun someone in range of your tower for an easy kill.

- The Item Build i recommend for her is:
In Early Game: buy 2x Observer Wards (in case you want to get runes and then discover you can get trapped and killed) - 3x Branches (to just get full your bag unless you recommend anyway 2x clarity potion or a Healing Salve) and a Slippers of Agility.
In Mid game: if you having 1.450 or more gold, you can begin putting in game 2x wraith bands, buy an boots of speed, and IF you have enough money to another recipes, buy treads.
In end game: buy Yasha, and then try to get Manta´s style, otherwise, Lothar´s edge is too useful to get put in game like another item you need to get, and then DESOLATOR is the best orb that Vangeful Spirit can have, buy those three items and get happy with a bonus of +205 Damage or more! GOOD LUCK!

- I don't think it's a good match for the Vengeful Spirit, but it depends who you're up against.
