This spring, Bloomsbury will publish Douglas Coupland's new novel, JPod, a read that Publishers Weekly has described as Microserfs 2.0 because of its workplace setting.
Learning about the forthcoming book, I realized that it's been awhile since I've dipped my toe in the pond that is Coupland. This lens was developed to help me catch up with the man -- and perhaps help you, too!

Additional Authors
Other related writers
When I think about Coupland and his work, I also tend to think about these writers.
- Jay McInerney
- Like Coupland's Generation X, McInerney's Bright Lights, Big City helped define a generation -- and somewhat pigeonhole the author.
- Douglas Rushkoff
- Similarly academinc at times, Rushkoff's primary connection might be found in Exit Strategy. Strike that: Rushkoff edited The GenX Reader!
- Jim Munroe
- And not just because he's Canadian.

Coupland doesn't necessarily make me think of these specific authors -- or vice versa -- but the books do have a certain resonance with his work
