One Tree Hill Synopsis

There are many television shows that are geared toward teenagers, but one of my most favorite television shows that I watch religiously is One Tree Hill. I have been watching this show ever since it aired and there are many things that One Tree Hill talks about through the message of the show. But first, there has to be something that is said about the characters on the show because Chad Michael Murray, James Laferty, Hillarie Burton, and Sophia Bush all have excellent chemistry together and this is one of the main reasons why I love watching the show. Furthermore, many of my friends that I have spoken with and fans that I have found online all agree that most of the characters on the show have good chemistry when acting together. This makes the show all the more realistic and allows the message and "moral" of the show to show through more clearly than if the actors and actresses were rigid and didn't have any chemistry with each other.

From the Executive Producers of Brian Robbins, Mark Schwahn, and Michael Tollin, and from the Directors of Bethany Rooney, David
Jackson, John Asher, Michael Lange, Stuart Gillard, and Tom Wright comes the show about teenagers who are faced with real-life teenage problems. In each episode their is basically a situation that confronts the cast. Nathan and Lucas are half brothers that live in the small town of One Tree Hill. Through many of One Tree Hill's episodes, the characters have to experience the trauma of losing their best friends, sex, marriage, affairs, and even drugs. Though the characters usually pull through these traumas and life changing events with no scars, One Tree Hill actually does a very good job at presenting real moral situations and dilemmas throughout the lives of the characters. Whether its finding out that someone cheated or faced with a school shooting, the One Tree Hill characters seem to have experienced it all. It is definitely an excellent show for any teenager to watch and should positively influence real-life teenagers and high school students.

Whether you like Chad Michael Murray as Lucas Scott or you like James Lafferty as Nathan Scott, I have found that all of the characters on the show are played by actors and actresses who do a very good job at presenting the situations as they are. Peyton is played by Hilarie Burton and Brooke Davis is played by Sophia Bush. The show basically centers on Lucas and Nathan Scott as half-brothers and many of the One
Tree Hill episodes have something to do with that whether it is a conflict or argument over their relationship or their romantic lives.

One popular television critic from PopMatters, Tracy McLoone, has commented about the show's ability to remain popular with male and
female teenagers: "The focus of One Tree Hill promises to be on relationships rather than on keeping score or the thrill of a game. This will make it popular among teenage girls, but whether the boys will follow -- even with the fistfights -- is less certain." But the show has been popular with both boy and girl teenagers and continues to be so that the One Tree Hill characters can continue talking about and presenting real-life issues to today's teenagers around the world!

New Wikipedia

One Tree Hill is an American teen, young adult television drama created by Mark Schwahn, which premiered on September 23, 2003 on The WB Television Network. After its third season, The WB merged with UPN to form The CW Television Network, and since September 27, 2006 the network is the official broadcaster for the show in the USA. On February 25, 2009, The CW renewed the show for a seventh season. The show is set in fictional town Tree Hill in North Carolina and originally follows the lives of two half-brothers, Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan Scott (James Lafferty). Their relationship evolves from heartless enemies to caring brothers, and the basketball drama, as well as the brothers' on-again/off-again romances with female characters, are significant elements within the series.

The first four seasons of the show focus on the characters' high school years. With the beginning of the fifth season, Schwahn decided to skip the timeline four years ahead, showing their lives after college. In the seventh season, he adjusted the timeline one year into the future after the sixth season. The opening credits were originally intertwined with the song "I Don't Want to Be" by Gavin DeGraw playing in the background. The theme was removed from the opening in the fifth season, and the credits have since only consisted of the title written on a black background. The show's interiors are filmed at the EUE/Screen Gems studios in Wilmington, North Carolina and exteriors are filmed in and around Wilmington.

The show has received average ratings, with the second season being the highest rated season, averaging 4.3 million viewers weekly, and has won Teen Choice Awards. Currently, six seasons of One Tree Hill are available on DVD in regions 1, 2 and 4. On May 12, 2009, it was confirmed that Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton would not be returning for the seventh season; their characters had been two of the five main protagonists throughout the show.
