How to Download Music to PSP
The psp is more then just a portable gaming machine, it's pretty much a whole entertainment system you can take on the go. Learning how to download music to PSP is essential is really getting enjoyment out of this small marvel. Forget ipod and Zune for that matter.
First and Foremost
Gotta prep the music
Before you go adding music you need to make sure the music you add is in the right format. It must be mp3 format. You have a few choices to prep the music.1)Purchase your music already in mp3 format. Rhapsody and Napster offer it at $.99 a song. This can get pricey. You can also join a number of sights like psp nerd, and psp download world.
2)Option two is taking the music off cds by ripping it. This simply means turning your cd's into mp3 format. Xilisoft among other make software for this.

Once your sure your music is mp3 simply follow the steps.
Connect your PSP to the computer
1. Take your USB 2.0 cable and plug it into your PC and PSP.
2. Press the home button on the PSP.
3. Use the left and right directional buttons to find Settings.
4. Use the up and down buttons on your PSP to find USB Connection.
5. Press the X button on your PSP to display USB Connection
6. Your computer will tell you a new USB device has been connected, which will show up as a new hard drive with a corresponding letter identifier. Depending on the number of device and configuration of your computer in all likelihood this letter will be E:, F: or H:, but what the letter is doesn't matter so long as you have the right letter.
Copy music to the PSP
1. On your computer select the drive letter and open the PSP file.
2. Create a new folder and call it whatever youd like.
3. Open the new folder and navigate inside.
4. Create another folder and call it Music.
5. Use you computer to copy your MP3 files into the music folder.
6. Press the O button on the PSP to disconnect from your computer.
7. Unplug the USB cable.
Play music on the PSP
1. Use the left and right arrow keys on the PSP to find the music area.
2. Use the up and down arrows to find Memory Stick.
3. Choose that folder by pressing the X button.
4. At this point you should see your transfered music.
