RoboForm adverts itself such as Password Manager, Form Filler, Password Management, as its primary use is storing usernames and passwords for all those sites, requiring a login.

After downloading and installing RoboForm you will be asked one for a Master Password, which is used for additional security, in case you are not the only one using your computer. This will be the only password from now on, you will have to remember. All the others will be remembered by RoboForm.

On top of your browser, a toolbar like the following one will appear, which gives you access to all necessary functions using RoboForm.



Creating Your First Passcard
Next step is to create a Passcard, which holds your login infomation. But you don't need to worry about setting everything up. There won't be any hassle with it, as you will set up everything on the fly.

Just point your browser to any website shich requires your login information and use it the normal way. Enter username and password and click the Log In or Sign In button. Immediately an AutoSave dialog will appear, offering you to save this information. Just give this passcard a name which identifies the website and click Save. Your first Passcard is created.

Using Your Passcard
To log in to the desired website, just click the Logins button on your RoboForm toolbar and choose one of the saved passcards. RoboForm will open the associated URL and automatically log you in.

If you reached a website, for which you already have created a Passcard, a button with the name of your passcard will be shown in the toolbar. Just click on the passcard name and RoboForm will fill in all associated login information.

Another great use for RoboForm is filling in registration and check out forms. To use RoboForm for this kind of task, you just have to set up your identity with RoboForm.

Setting Up Your Identity
To be able to use RoboForm for filling in registration and check out forms, it is necessary that your information is saved in RoboForm.

To do so, just click Setup Form Filling on the RoboForm and enter all the necessary information in the various tabs offered, such as first name, last name, email address, postal address and whatever else you might need for filling in online forms.

Go through several tabs offered and enter your information into the appropriate fields. After you are done, click save and your identity with RoboForm is created, for your future use.

Filling Forms With RoboForm
To use the saved identity information, just go to any registration or check out form. All you have to do now is to click on the button with the name of your identity and RoboForm will fill in all the saved information automatically.

RoboForm For Submitting Articles

Article submissions is one major job in Internet Marketing. Once the article is written, it is necessary to publish it to several article directories for inclusion. You probably write articles yourself and know the job: Logging in to the article directory, heading to the submission form, filling in the several fields including your article and publish it. A lot of copy and paste between your editor and your browser until you are done with the first directory. And the same hassle with all the directories that are following.

Now you know RoboForm and it will be your Personal Assistant for submitting articles on a fly. Just create a new identity, while you clone your existing one and call it something like Article Submitter. Edit this identity, leaving all the useful information, but deleting the ones not necessary for article submission. Go to the very last tab in the identity editor, called "Custom" and fill in the fields with the necessary information for your article.

You will find three columns, called Field Name, Field Value and Other Match Strings. While Field Name is the name of the form field on the website, RoboForm shall look for, you enter your information into the Field Value column. The Other Match String is an optional field, to which is referred in case RoboForm doesn't find the Field Name on the website. You can add multiple Other Match Strings, each one in a separate line.

Once done, go ahead, use the RoboForm Login button to log into your article directory account and fill all the necessary fields for article submission with clicking one on Your Identity button.



RoboForm For Directory Submitting

You saw how fine RoboForm works for article submissions. As I stated, if there is a form, there is need for RoboForm.
Another great example, I think you also will use often, is submitting your URL to several directories. It works the same as it works for aricle submission. Go ahead and clone your main identity, call it someting like Directory Submissions. Prepare the identity like discovered above and start submitting your URL to the world.
