Last Christmas I received a package from my dad and was surprised that he finally gave me a new Nintendo DS. It was the best gift my dad has ever given to me. It had full of ds games that were previously installed through downloaded ds roms. My dad told me that a friend of his download ds roms from a website with a fee.

Months later when I was finally bored with the set of games my dad downloaded for me, I headed out to that site and I tried to download ds roms. It asked for my credit card account number and I gladly entered it as I was confident enough that it was not some sort of scam. I knew that instant that I was going to get the latest game. I was charged about 20 dollars after confirmation and began downloading.

The moment I was able to download ds roms and was finally finished installing them, I got to the game instantly and found it a bit odd that the game was loading way too slow from the previous games I have played. Days after that, I went back playing the old games and found that it was loading slow too.

The days passed by and another month of bills came. When I scanned my account, I was again charged with another 20 dollars from that website. It got me furious thinking that I was scammed and the games that I downloaded degrading. I went to the website again and found out that there are no customer service hotlines to complain and the credit company could not help me with the matter as the transaction was quite legal.

My only advice to this experience is to be aware of the websites that may seem very much believable but in the end, they are just the same scam websites.
