Downloading Guitar Lessons Depends on the Skill Level

Matching the proper guitar lessons to the specific individual is crucial in obtaining the optimum enjoyment. I have been playing guitar for many years and have seen and tried it all.

There are probably as many books written for guitar as any other topic known to man. With all of that literature, you would think that we would have it all down to a science by now but we don't. Actually many lessons confuse as many people as they help. To Download Guitar Lessons is probably the easiest and cheapest way to learn guitar.

There are so many guitar styles that it becomes a very cloudy issue when deciding to buy lessons. The problem is, you are trying to make a decision about something that you have little knowledge about. It's like trying to find the perfect recipe for Chile when you have never tasted Chile.

Most lessons are broken down into Beginner or Intermediate to Advanced levels. Even these classifications can be confusing. I have tried to break these down into the most common types of students that are looking for lessons. I hope this helps!

Hit the groung running!

For our purposes, we shall define a beginner as a student with little to no guitar skills. Here we are again, at what are the students expectations? I believe that most people that want to learn guitar get lost and board with the semantics of it. That is why in todays culture, I recommend that students Download Guitar Lessons.

Must people just want to play for fun and really don't care if they hold the guitar in perfect position or if there tempo is a little fast or slow. So, I really like the UNLOCK THE GUITAR IN ONE WEEKEND, The Beginners Guide to Unlocking the Guitar e book, by Jared Grebs.

Please don't get caught up in the title. To think that the student will become accomplished in a weekend is not realistic. However, the essence of the title is important. This lesson package is about quick results. It is easy, fast and has step by step instructions for Beginners up to intermediate students.

Moving Your Skills Up a Level

Next we shall look at the more intermediate guitar player. To me, the "intermediate" is a player that has some guitar skills but not enough to be confident in his or her abilities. Usually this person has all ready taken a step toward learning guitar but because of poor lessons or lack of desire do to antiquated learning techniques, has given up.

To me, Jamarama is geared more for the people that want to become a more accomplished player. It is perfect for a person that might need to brush up on the basics and move toward being a more solid player. It is geared toward students that want to start or be in a band, or perform live as a soloist or write his or her own songs. It contains lessons on tuning, metronome (Tempo), reading music and learning tablature, and learning songs by ear, which is very important.

OK, now we are going to discuss the more advanced guitar player. Once again it is hard to pigeon hole this type of student. To me, this student has accrued enough skills to play songs and sing a little and is probably in a band with his or her friends and would like to step up his playing style with big boys of guitar.

This person wants to wield an axe with mind blowing fury and impress any standby-er with the finger shedding heat that displays his or her unmatched lead prowess. Sorry, I flashed back to my teens for a minute. In a nutshell this student wants to play lead guitar solos

The center of the universe for most lead playing is centered around learning scales. A scale is just a group of individual notes that are strung together in a pattern. I hate to harp on scales because to many people put too much emphasis on them, this was especially true when I was younger.

That is why I really like the Guitar Scale Mastery system by Craig Bassett. Craig is a master teacher that realizes the value of scales but he also realizes that there is much more to them than knowing the progressions and playing them fast. He teaches you how to visualize and mix in arpeggios and the importance of ear training and improvisation. I don't want to get into too much technical stuff but Craig knows what is important and how to teach it.
