Scotty Downrigger Reviews

Downrigger's are basically a spool of braided wire mounted to a boat. A heavy weight is attached to the end of the wire, and a downrigger release is hooked to the wire. The fishing line is hooked into this release. The downrigger can then be lowered to the desired depth, and when a fish strikes your bait/lure, the line is then released. This allows the angler to play and land their fish without worrying about heavy lines or weights.
