Downtown Las Vegas Hotels & Casinos

When most people think of Las Vegas they think of the mega resorts of the Las Vegas Strip. It is the Las Vegas Strip that contains the majority of the hotel properties. These mega resorts are spread all over the the strip. They are some of the largest hotels in the world as well as some of the most famous. But if you are looking for value, comfort and accessibility than perhaps the Las Vegas Strip in not the best way to go. You just might be more happy staying in downtown Las Vegas.

Downtown Las Vegas, or Old Las Vegas is very small compared the strip. Here you will 10 well know hotel casino properties. They are much more affordable than staying on the strip and they are all within walking distance of each other. Basically if you are staying at one of downtown properties than you are within walking distance to all the others, no cabs or buses needed. Try that on the strip, walking from one strip property to another is quite time consuming and difficult. Main Street Station is excellent play to stay and gamble in downtown Las Vegas. An average size hotel with 406 rooms, the largest buffet in downtown Las Vegas and the only microbrewery located downtown. The decor is turn of the century with authentic gas lamps and more. Probably the friendliest hotel casino property in Las Vegas. Located one block north of the Fremont Street Experience, Main Street Station has tremendous value and the best room rates in town. One of finest hotels in all of Las Vegas is the Golden Nugget and happens to be located downtown. It is also the largest hotel in downtown Las Vegas. There are 2407 rooms, 8 restaurants and one of the most incredible swimming pools and shark tanks in Las Vegas. The wold's largest golden nugget is on display here.
