Dr. Jeckyll's Crochet Flower Experiments

Mixing and Matching My Favorite Crochet Flowers

These flowers are my experiments of mashing up various free small flower patterns on the net. Some are my own, some are my favorites. Some are combined to create new patterns while others are modified to fit my own fancy. Still others are altered by adding design elements I've picked up here and there. I used plarn* to make these flowers but any other yarn will do.
However, I only included patterns for the flowers that I think are beautiful.

Background

This lens (article) is for Rocketmoms Summer Session 2011 Lens Challenge #2: It's All About Fall. I live in tropical country and I have no idea what fall, thanksgiving, and Halloween are really like. I don't want to make a lens out of something I don't know personally. But I've been on this mixing-and-matching-flower-patterns for a while and I thought that would be creepy if done to a living organism. So that would connect with the Halloween theme, I hope.

The name of the flower collection is not after Dr. Jeckyll and Hyde, I haven't read that book and never will. I named this collection after a serial killer character in CSI who kills his victims by messing up with their internal organs. What a disturbing mind!

Since most of these flowers are inspired by other people's designs, I've provided links to their wonderful designs. I also did this for you to be able to compare the original patterns and my revised versions.
If I have not done significant change in other people's patterns, you really have to visit their pages to complete the flower of your choice. I know it's a bit of a hassle, but I just want no one to feel violated.

Failed Experiments

Because I really liked this flower, I thought I could bring its design elements to my flowers.

I did not achieve that YET. (Sigh)
