Dr. Pepper is the Best Drink Ever
About Dr. Pepper
Dr Pepper is a soft drink and is marketed as having a unique flavor. Created in the 1880s by Charles Alderton of Waco, Texas, and first served around 1885, Dr Pepper was first nationally marketed in the United States in 1904 and is now also sold in Europe, Asia and South America. Variants include a no-sugar version, Diet Dr Pepper, as well as a line of versions with additional flavors, first introduced in the 2000s.
W.W. Clements, a former CEO and president of the Dr Pepper/7-Up Company, described the taste of Dr Pepper as one-of-a-kind, saying "I've always maintained you cannot tell anyone what Dr Pepper tastes like because it's so different. It's not an apple, it's not an orange, it's not a strawberry, it's not a root beer, it's not even a cola. It's a different kind of drink with a unique taste all its own."Rodengen, Jeffrey L., "The Legend of Dr. Pepper/Seven-Up", Write Stuff Syndicate, Inc., 1995, page 31
Collecting Antique Dr. Pepper Things
I love antiques, especially vintage glass soda bottles. Glass pop bottles aren't available much anymore, at least in the United States, especially Dr. Pepper ones.Antique Dr. Pepper signs are also fun and interesting to collect. To me it's cool to think that at one time a sign was hanging up in an old diner somewhere in the 1950s or before. Kind of brings a nostalgic feeling, to wonder what kinds of things that sign has been around, and all of the history it has experienced.

Why should you collect Dr. Pepper stuff?
Because of this, the value of vintage Dr. Pepper collectibles keeps rising and rising, as they become rarer and rarer. They are actually a pretty neat investment, and something to pass onto your children if you can't bear parting with them.

- I love Dr Pepper, too, though I don't collect anything. That's just because I don't have the room. I even made a lens on Dr Pepper. See if you like it. www.squidoo.com/drpepper.
