Creating a Special Dragon Baby Nursery for Your Little One

Dragon Baby Painting

The walls are the first thing to consider in any nursery and a dragon baby nursery theme is no different. Many dragons are purple or green, so you might choose this as a background. You have a handful of choices here.

First, you can go the simple route, sticking to basic colors and then decorating with decals and pictures. This allows the room to really grow with the child, especially if you choose fairly neutral colors. You can just change the decor to turn the room into a space that your toddler or pre-schooler will enjoy, too.

Secondly, if you really want to go all out, you can paint a mural or use wallpaper that offers a dragon scene. There are so many options with this. If you are artistic yourself, you can go ahead and paint the mural, or use a wall projector to throw a scene from a book or printout up on the wall and paint it in.

Whichever route you go, make sure that the colors you select will go with the bedding and such that you'll be putting in.

Bedding

Finding dragon themed bedding for baby cribs can be pretty tough, so if you don't find something you like, you might need to opt for colors that enhance the overall theme. Pick purples, blues and greens to reflect the dragon colors that are most commonly used and you're off to a good start.

You might have more luck finding toddler bedding with dragons on them. If this is the case, you can adapt the sheets until your baby has grown enough to use a toddler bed. Homemade quilts are always a nice addition, too and are easy to applique with a dragon on top. Look for fabrics or patches in dragon themes and then use those to add to existing blankets. Or, try painting your own with fabric paints. There are plenty of options!
