DragonFable is a flash-based browser game. That means you don't download anything to play. The only special software needed is an updated version of Flash, which most people already have.

DragonFable is a single person role-playing game. You do not play with or against other people directly. It is a safe game for kids of all ages.

Visit the DragonFable lens for more general information about the game.

1: DragonLord Armor

How to get, how to level up.

Given to Dragon Amulet holders by Celestia, DragonLord armor bestows upon the wearer the skills of a DragonLord. It replaces the default armor (although default stats are the same) and also the default weapon (again, same as the default weapon).

Level 8 is required to obtain DragonLord armor and the first skill, Scale. One skill can be trained after for each level up. For example, if you are level 11, you can train the first four skills.

To level up DragonLord armor, a DA holder must Get the armor, Equip the armor, then do the Train, or "Mad Skillz," quest. This is all done at Lady Celestia's menu, under "DragonLord Armor."

Take it to the next level.

It is possible to color-customize and then upgrade the DragonLord armor. The basic stats and abilities are the same: it's all for looks. First, the DragonLord must upgrade to Color Customize for 20,000 gold, then buy Evolved armor for another 20,000 gold. Again, it's for fun only.

The Dragonmaster's Helm is the official head wear of DragonLords. It is available in Cysero's shop for 190 Dragon Coins. The Evolved DragonLord Helm is available for 450 Dragon Coins.

2: Dragon Egg Saga

The quest to get your dragon.

The Dragon Egg Saga is an epic quest in which you can find and hatch your very own dragon egg. It spans many different areas, quests, and levels. The Dragon Egg Saga begins at level 1 and ends about level 8, which is the first level for DragonLord armor.

The steps of the Dragon Egg Saga are divided into individual quests given by different NPCs. The individual quest NPCs, locations, and names are:

A Hero is Bored: Level 1, first quest of the game.
The Black Dragon Box: Level 3, Rolith, Oaklore Keep. Choose "The Preistess Message."
Robina the Hood's Quests: No level requirement, Robina, Surewood Forest. "A Golden Opportunity," "Give Until it Hurts," and "Opening the Black Box."
Valencia the Rare Item Hunter's Quests: No level requirement, Valencia, located most eastern (right) screen of Falconreach. "The Sneevil Dumpsite" and "Egg Recovery."
Warlic's Tent: No level requirement, Warlic, Warlic's Zone. "Breakfast with Warlic (Warlic's Tent)," "Crossing the Line (The Tome)," "Get Warlic's Ingredients: Strings of Flame, Brickhead, You're All Wet, Ol' Windbag" and "Summoning Help (The Summoning)."

After finishing Warlic's quests, the hero returns to Twilly in Falconreach and goes the the Secret Cave. After picking an egg, the hero goes to the Hatching. Then it's time to visit Celestia for a dragon baby.

2.1: Dragon Egg Types

Colors, symbols, patterns.

Right now, the type of dragon egg picked at the end of the Dragon Egg Saga has no effect in the game. There are hints that something will be released related to the type of egg you pick. Right now it's all speculation, rumor, and teasers.

For a complete album of dragon egg types, visit the Dragon Egg gallery.

3: Baby Dragon

Description of the little tyke.

The baby dragon is a trainable pet. You must visit Celestia to equip a baby dragon, feed it, and train it. The baby dragon will also take on the color of the adult dragon (for Dragon Amulet holders).

Once equipped, a baby dragon will do damage based upon the owner's Luck and Charisma stats. Also, the level to which the baby dragon is trained will also effect the damage and type of attack.

3.1: Care and Feeding

Taking care of your baby dragon.

To buy food for a baby dragon, a hero must visit Celestia and choose "Baby Dragon" in her menu, then "Buy Food." There are two options: Dragon Chow, which costs 15 gold and will give one training point, and Special Dragon Chow which costs 10 Dragon Coins and gives two training points.

There is also Super Special Dragon Chow which will train five points. This is a rare drop in DA quests and therefore available to DA owners only.

Baby dragons can be fed only once per day. That means if you miss a day, you miss the feeding and it will take longer to train your baby dragon. A "day" is measured by the DragonFable server time, which is in the upper-right corner of the main DF page.

To feed a baby dragon, visit Lady Celestia, pick the "Baby Dragon" menu, then choose "Feed Dragon" after you have some kind of dragon food in your equipment list. Then pick the type of food from the menu that you want to feed the baby dragon.

3.2: Baby Dragon Training

How to train your wittle baby dwagon...

The baby dragons are trained with the points from feedings. Points can be allocated between several skills or just one skill. Also, for 1,000 gold, it is possible to untrain- or free up- all of the training points, allowing the owner to re-allocate the skill points at will.

There is a maximum of 500 points that a baby dragon can be trained, total in all skills. Each individual skill can be trained to a maximum of 200 points. This could mean that a baby dragon can have 200 points in Protection, 200 points in Magic, and 100 points in Mischief.

Each point makes a skill more powerful. For example, spending 8 in Fighting will raise the baby dragon's damage from regular damage to 104% damage. Spending 16 points in Fighting will raise the damage to 108%.

At specific points in training, a baby dragon will learn a new skill. For example, by using 41 points in Fighting, a baby dragon will learn the Claw attack.

4: Adult Dragon

Unimaginable power.

When a DragonLord mounts his or her dragon, the team created can wield unimaginable power. With the ability to utterly destroy ordinary beasts, the mounted DragonLord finds only the largest and fiercest creatures a threat.

The first step for a DragonLord to summon an adult dragon is to visit Celestia. The DragonLord must be at least level 10 and have a Dragon Amulet. Choose "Dragon Quests" and then "Summon." The DragonLord can then "Train" the adult dragon or fight in the "Dragon Arena."

A dragon should be nearly fully trained before entering the Dragon Arena.

Should there be a free version of DragonLord?

Only DragonAmulet holders can be DragonLords. Should there be a version for free players? If so, what would it be like? (Note: There are no plans for a free version.) Pick your favorite variation.

I think the free version should allow you to equip the baby dragon, but not train it, or make it grow. that way you at least have a dragon.
