Dragons Touch

This is a site all about dragons; it has a dragon timeline, dragon types, and A-Z of dragons and much more to be added, also an artists showroom will soon be added! Along with all this it has a dragon forum with a steadily growing friendly community.

Although dragons are fantasy creatures, I have tried to look back in history and find actual dates and facts that have been recorded about dragons, for example in the timeline the first reference is about the Rainbow Serpent; in 40,000 BC the Rainbow Serpent, a vast python like serpent with multi colored skin was linked to the rainbow in the Congo region of west Africa, Dahomey, Nigeria, the Caribbean island of Haiti, Melanesia, Polynesia, Papua New Guinea and Australia. There is more about this Rainbow Serpent found in the timeline part of the site, along with many more entries dating from 40,000 BC to 1972 AD with the Loch ness monster, visiting dragons like the 1200 BC Tiamat, the famous 400 AD - 500 AD Y Ddraig Goch, who is depicted on the welsh flag, and also listing dragon sitings over the years; in 1066 AD at King Harold's death, and a siting of the 1834 AD O-gon-Cho Japanese dragon.

Along with this timeline, there is a wealth of references to western/occidental and oriental dragons.
