Guides to drawing

Now we start Drawing!!

Ears

The most obvious must have is the cats ears. It must be a bit furry but not too much. Real cat have suede like ears. Soft and pliable.

But for our characters we must remember that there are 2 types that you can draw. This is totally up you and depends on what is the story behind his or her feline like appearance.

1. Human ears and on top is cat ears
2. Cat ears only

Since we're in this topic, I saw one cutest headband if you want to wear it yourself :D (click on the picture)

Eyes

When you draw the eyes make it a lil bit almond shape and slit like. The colours suitable are amber or green. Some felines will have signature color, for example black cat will be depicted with green eyes , white will have amber or yellow eyes.

Paws

Some of the drawing have cat paws just to make it more cat like.Somehow when it have claws it seems more cute!! Some are illustrated as oversized furry gloves that has claws.Usually the color will coordinate with the ears

teeth/fang

You can choose to have a set of fangs. To make your character look harmless one fans would be sufficient.

And How can we forget the tail
Two most important element is the ear and the tail.Tail would have the same color as the ears.Usually draw it long and not too furry or else people will mistaken it as a fox girl.

Now all this are rough instructions. Lets take a look at the vids which is more descriptive and you can view how the artist do it in real tuime. It's fabulous! I'm sure you'll learn very much from it.

Full body and character

When you're drawing a nekomimi dont forget to add character to it. Some cat girls are happy and jolly most of the time frolicky. Some are absolute blonds... There some nekomimi who are dark sexy and sultry.

How do you display their character? up to you! most of the time its the costume that they wear, most effectively is their gesture , the eyes and the mouth is drwan is important too.
