The Window to Your Soul

Ever wondered how a piercing look can leave you breathless? Faint-hearted?

I have. I've always wanted to stun someone with a glance, and silence enemies with a glare. No words spoken, just a simple look loaded with meaning.

This lens is devoted to just that. Creating a window into your soul that illuminates who you are, your effervescent and ebullient self, without simplifying your personality. It's about creating a canvas worthy talking about. No eyeshadow hints and tips... We're just dealing with the skin around your eyes, and in a broader sense- on our faces. We're focusing on the original you before painting and decorating begins.

Everything Shows Through Your Eyes...

What do you eat? Where do you work? What products do you use? Do you rest enough? How often do you laugh?

The most important thing is that you believe that real beauty is in the realization that there's only one you, and that your eyes illuminate who you really think you are.

To Cleanse or Not to Cleanse...

Cleanse Away!

So we all know the basics behind cleansing our faces- gentleness always, circular motions, repeat rinses...

HEY!

What if you want to be pampered beyond measure? Maybe you just want someone else to beautify your face for you...

Well, you probably will need a facial. Read on...

The Importance of a Facial...

For a more "scientific" approach, go ahead and read about the importance of facials to your skin.

A facial is a cosmetic treatment of the face, commonly involving a variety of skin treatments, including: steam, exfoliation, extraction, creams, lotions, masks, peels, and massage. Normally performed in a beauty salon but it is also a common spa treatment.

Facials are generally categorized; for example:

*European Facial

*Mini-Facial

Did You Know...

  • That Ancient Egyptians considered the eye as the most important part of the body?
  • "Mesdemet", scientifically produced by the Egyptians and used to elongate the eye was later adopted by the Arabians and renamed "kohl"?
  • In the Victorian era, sophisticated women preferred to be viewed as delicate and feminine and therefore barely wore any eye makeup?
  • That Cleopatra used ancient crushed sapphires in her eyeshadow?

The Cleanser vs. Soap Debate

So which do you prefer?

Some think that the properties in soaps are better for your skin, whereas the bubbles from cleansers are amazing to maintain the skin's texture and ebullience (I made all that up!)

Which is the better facial cleaner- old-fashioned, trustworthy soaps? or new, adventurous cleansers?

Kangai says:

Old-fashioned, moisture-laden, sweet-smelling soap! I can feel it. I can embellish it's texture, while breathing in it's amazing healing properties...

It cleans... moisturizes... loves my skin... leaves it softly scented.
