The Window Treatments to Your Soul

Ever wondered how a piercing look can leave you breathless? Faint-hearted? Stunned? Yearning for more?

I have. I've always wanted to completely stop someone in their tracks with a glance, and silent enemies with a glare. No words spoken, just a simple look loaded with meaning.

This lens is devoted to more than just that. It is devoted to creating and maintaining the window treatments into your soul that illuminate who you are, your effervescent and ebullient self, without simplifying your personality. Here we're focusing on the painting, decorating and embellishing.

It's about creating a painting worth talking about. Here you'll find deals on eye makeup that I've found, and ways that you can
benefit from them too.

The Beginning

So now that you're totally cleansed, toned and moisturized, the time has come for some color, some fun.
There are four looks that many makeup artists encourage women to adopt depending on what they are doing.

1. Light Eye/Light Lip
2. Light Eye/Dark Lip
3. Dark Eye/Light Lip
4. Dark Eye/Dark Lip

Now I don't particularly defend one over the other, but I will do my best to explain both the light and dark eye looks here.

But before I do that, make sure you lay a good foundation for your skin, and a frame for your eyes.

What does this mean?

It means that you must choose the correct foundation for your skin type (which coincidentally is the topic of my other lens- The Foundation), and that you work on your eyebrows that frame your face as well.

Eye Brows

Here's what to do with those bushy, unkempt, unattended to hairs...

Shaping

The Light Eye

Now we can deal with the pop! The Fabulosity!

Going to work? Here's a "Light Eye" easy-to-do look.

The "Light Eye" look can be worn to work, a day shopping, going to class or a yacht ride in Monaco...

*Shown here is the Jane Iredale Eye Shadow in Glimmer Gold
  1. Shape your brows by using an eyebrow pencil that's a few shades lighter than your own hair to decrease the harshness factor.
  2. Highlight your brows by using a brow brush to lightly dust your favorite light (i.e.: - ivory, gold) shadow in the are right below your eyebrow.
  3. In the crease of your eyelid (the area right below your brow bone) brush on a slightly dark shadow to create depth.
  4. On your lid area, brush on your favourite colour- gold, taupe, olive, silver.. you name it.

A Bronze Glow...

When a "Light Look" is not enough, why not go with an all-over bronze goddess look that'll stun the socks off everyone who checks you out?
