wonderful descriptions, which could easily be understood by nonriders. Treating horses as teammates and respecting them while asking more of them and ourselves - a way to learning how to live with humans, too!

Lovely stuff. It's funny how when I read what you wrote about posture, etc, separating the body into two, it was what I had been doing for years without realizing it. No wonder my classical dressage coach liked me. :)

Wish I could come and work with you: I see I have so much to learn. :)

    Another lens that can only
    receive five stars when
it should have seven or eight, thats live. People just love horses and you make a path that brings them closer to that wonderful creature. Thank you for such great work and keep writting.

Hans Gunter Winkler and his GRAND mare Halla! They are legendary: 1956 Olympics, during the first round he tears a ligament in his thigh, Halla fully realizes her rider has a problem and finishes the course on her own going clear. Through excruciating pain, he can't help her AT ALL on the second round, she wholly takes the matter in her own hooves and clinches both the Individual and Team Gold for Germany! - so glad you enjoyed this lens :)
  • chefkeem Mar 13, 2008 @ 10:36 pm | delete
I didn't think i would enjoy dressage so much. Growing up in Germany (during Hans-Guenther Winkler's days), I was exposed to this type of competition all the time on TV, but I preferred watching soccer. Your video and your content really present the beauty of your sport. Thank you. 5*s

I used to have a pony and we had some wonderful times together...Good point on the untacking, when I first started riding, my dad taught me about loosening the girth and lots of cool down time too. 5 stars to you and adding to my faves :)
