Dr.House: What A Grouch!

Hugh Laurie Knows How To Play Grounchy, But He Can Also Be Very Funny
Perhaps you know him as Dr.House but his real name is Hugh Laurie and he has made his fame in England before playing Dr. House in the United States.
Hugh Laurie is also a novelist and a part-time keyboard player for "Band From TV".
Hugh Laurie was born in Oxford, England in 1959 and is married and has 3 children. He now lives in the U.S. and has lost some of his British accent.
He was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire by HM Queen Elizabeth II, May 2007
He has a new novel coming out in September 2009 titled
Paper Soldiers. You can buy it at Amazon.
Hugh recently bought a $4 millions mansion. I guess it pays pretty good to play doctor.
Dr.House Is Also A Philanthropist
Hugh Laurie has been donating some of his revenues from Band From TV to Save The Children Chosen Charity Links To Some Websites On Dr.House

- Although in real life, a doctor wouldn't do some or most of the outrageous things he tries, he has a good heart. I admire guts in people. There is a 'look' in his eyes that is so appealing, he has empathy. Sometimes, it's his faults though, that reminds me we are all human. Yeah, I'm a fan (even though I am sure I would never meet someone like him).

- I agree with you. We would never meet a doc like this in real life.
But, it's TV land ....fun to watch and getting mad at him and loving him at
the same time.

- I enjoy watching House, too, and I can't figure out why exactly, but Hugh Laurie has to be a big part of the reason. Great to learn new things about him. I like what nightcats wrote, that Hugh Laurie cleans up REAL WELL! That's hilarious, and very true!

- Oh my! I dearly love Hugh Laurie and how he portrays House with such irreverence! My mother is also a fan of his. I've caught some of his early performances and don't really recognize him as he excels as the good doctor!
