Inspired by the natural beauty of driftwood, Tina gathers from the beaches and lake shores of the Northwest. She combines the driftwood with resin clay to create these wonderful art works that are sure to appeal to driftwood collectors.
The clay is a two part epoxy that is adhered and blended into the surface of the wood to form faces and details.
Most of the wood is left in its natural state, allowing the shape and texture of the driftwood to guide the creation of each sculpture. Some pieces are exquisitely painted and others are left unpainted, or a combination of both.

Montage` by LadyHawk Music by America Song: A Horse With No Name Comments and ratings are always welcomed and much appreciated, of course. ;-) This video features the amazing equine driftwood sculpture of Heather Jansch from Westcountry, England. She also creates other animals figures from driftwood, all of which can be viewed on her website at: http://www.jansch.freeserve.co.uk/index.htm I created this montage on a whim over the weekend, and it all came together quite easily and effortlessly, which is always such an delight when it happens that way. The song and the images make for odd bedfellows, but strangely enough, it actually works! If you listen closely to the lyrics, there are some very humorous...shall I can them, 'little coincidences'...that pop up at the most unexpected moments. For instance, there is a line in the song that goes, "The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz..." Well, horses are notorious fly magnets, and that little coincidence gave me pause for a few moment's giggle and a smile. Created all in good fun and fanciful spirits; I hope you enjoy watching as much as I have had making it.
